IMPORTANT AUTHOR NOTE
I have edited the first and the second and the characters chapter. There is a lot of changes and in order to understand the following chapter you need to re read them. I also changed the description of this so you might also want to read the new one as well to avoid confusion. I am so sorry for all of this but it had to be done. The house on top is Nicole's house where they are in.

I would also just like to thank you all for all the views, votes and comments that I have gotten so far. I just feels so great to be able to share what I write and for people to like it. I'm not even gonna lie but every time I get a new view, vote or comment I freak out inside cause to think that one person put the time and effort to read my book willing is just so amazing. Not to mention vision for almost having 2k views. That's 2000 people, for some of you that might not be a lot considering others have like a million and more but for me that's a big accomplishment.

Breath Nicole You can do this, you have the most experience with the darkness than anyone here. You are going to win this but what if the others don't win does that mean you also don't win.

I'm confused as I turn a corner, I'm still getting used to the new house. We only moved a few months ago, It was my idea because I couldn't handle walking around the house after what happened. To my luck, this new one is just as creepy as the other one and I'm pretty sure we aren't going to move again.

Just Great.

In the distance I hear a soft rumbling of things, I slowly start walking in that direction with the candlelight illuminating a pathway. By the narrow walking space, I realise I'm in the hallway, I stop at the area where the rumbling is at its loudest, "hello?", I call out. The rumbling immediately stops and the sound of footsteps can be heard, I look around to find no one. I reluctantly look up and to my luck, all I see is the wooden roof.

I bring the light up a bit more so I can take a better look and I see a small little handle for the attic. Someone must be up there, that would explain everything. I reach up to grab the handle and move to make space for the stairs to come down.

With a loud bang, it hits the ground and I walk around the side of it to get to the first step. As I put my weight down on it, it creaks and I feel a chill go down my back. I take another step up and I slowly lift my head up to see a human like a figure staring back at me. My heart beat rises as I bring the light closer to it.

It's a girl that looks about my age looking down at her bare feet. She is looking at me"Who are you?", I ask her but she doesn't answer as a small breeze is blowing on me "Hello?", I ask again but I don't get an answer so I just take one step back onto the lower step. Backing away from her I trip and fall backwards, I expect a hard landing but instead, I fall onto someone. "What the Fuck Nicole get off me", I quickly scramble up picking up the candle that is currently rolling away. I hand it over to the person I fell on as I do I look up at the face to see Hunter.

I look at the back of me and see no one sitting on the ledge. "Uh. I'm..", I struggle to get the words out and I feel frustration from Hunter so I look back at him and try my best to form a sentence. "I'm sorry", I apologise. "Whatever", he grumbles and pushes past me. I don't know what his problem is, I don't know what just happened.

I don't know anything ugh.

Did I forget to mention it's my birthday now? Turning 19, just finished school a few months ago actually and currently we are now just waiting for our acceptance letters from our colleges. They said we should get them in about a month. We didn't tell each other which colleges we were applying to because we didn't want someone to go to a certain college just because the other one was going there or one that is closest to them.
