Nicole's POV

I continue staring down at the paper in my hands, trying to figure out how it ended up here and why it's just Ava's but not the others.

I look at the time on my phone to see its 25 minutes past 5 in the afternoon. I try to get my mind off everything by looking at a few snap chat stories. When that doesn't work my mind starts to come up with possibilities but none of them makes sense.

Maybe Ava is just trying to pull a prank on me, but she would have to be pretty dark to want me to get hurt plus if the paper with her name on was a prank why would she have left it on the ground.

A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts. I put the paper beside me and walk to the door forgetting that I have a blood stained shirt on as I unlock the door.

Opening the door I find a very annoyed brunette girl in front of me. "Hey I'm Kate and I was just wondering if you have an extra tube of toothpaste you could spare me?", she asks crossing her arms. "Why?", I ask confused as why she didn't bring her own.

She looks behind her at a dorm room and then back to me "My roommate thought it be funny to make a toothpaste volcano and since she didn't have enough of her own she took all of the mines", I resist the urge to laugh and nod instead.

"Yeah one second, I'll just go get one", I tell her and walk into the bathroom. "Omg are you okay?!", I hear her ask from behind me and I sigh.

I take the toothpaste out and walk back towards Kate who now looks very concerned for me. "Yeah I'm fine", I assure her and hand over the tube of toothpaste. "There ya go".

She gives me a thankful smile before turning around back to her room. I close the door and grab my phone off the bed.

To: Ava

Sorry to disturb but what time did you leave the room? Just asking :p

I press send and quickly change my stained shirt into a plain black one.

Checking my phone again I see she hasn't replied yet. I pick up the needle from the floor and the paper on my bed to put in one of my drawers.

I need to go to the nurse or something to get my back patched up cause I can't do it myself.

I think 2 hours after you left why?

To: Ava

Because when I came back to the room I threw myself on the bed and some random needle stabbed me in the back, penetrating my skin.

Aw shit... I hope you're okay.... wait you're wondering if it was me aren't you?

To: Ava

I'm just making sure
