Back to school (6)

As I stand in front of the school all the memories, I had come rushing to me the real ones and the ones that happened in my head. Feeling a sudden weight on my shoulder; I jerk my head to the side and look up to see a smirking Parker, I let out a breath and jab him in the side. "You scared the fuck outta me you jackass", I exclaim, and he chuckles.

"You know you love me", he winks, and I can't help the eye roll and the smile developing on my face. "Whatever let's just get this day over with", I say. "Your wish is my command princess", he declares as we start to walk to the entrance.

Liam and Jasmine got a letter from my uncle to excuse them from coming because of what happened and that Liam must take care of her for a few days. The school allowed it and said that there would be no consequences for them.

Lucky assholes.

Parker pulls open the door, and a gust of wind hits our faces, we walk into the hallway and see Ava standing amongst the crowd of others. Our footsteps echoed as we walk in silence.

"Ava!", I call out to her, and she spins around. A look of relief appears on her face as she sees us. I run out of Parkers hold and into an embrace with Ava. "Thank God I don't know how long I could stand being with these stuck up bitches behind me", she mutters next to my ear. I sneak a glance behind her and laugh when I see it's the same girls from the party.

The ones that I called prostitutes, yeah those.

"What about me? Don't I get a hug", Parker posts from behind me? I see Ava roll her eyes as she goes to give him a hug.

I get a text from Jasmine telling me that's she is feeling better and that I should come over after. I assure her that I'll make sure to get over as soon as we finish with what we are going to do today.

"Wheres Jazz Nikki?", Ava asks and my head shoots up "She's umm... At home sick with Liam", Parker narrows his eyes at me slowly nodding his head. I can sense that he wants to ask me something but before he can a familiar voice starts to speak.

I turn my head in the direction of the voice to see the principle.

"Attention all graduated students, thank you all for coming here today to help us raise money for next years seniors class trip. You are being divided into groups of two and will receive a raffle book of 20 pages that you have to finish by the end of the day. We will call your names and the name we call can you please come up and retrieve the name of your partner and a raffle book", he announces. I fiddle with my phone as they start to call out of the names. When they call mine my head shoots up, and I start to walk towards him.

All eyes on me but mine immediately go to Hunter walking outside with a girl running after him. What did I do that was so bad?

I get handed the raffle book and a slip of paper with the name of my partner on it, opening it up I see that it's my lucky day. It's Parker thank God.

I walk towards Parker and Ava having what seems to be a heated conversation. Clearing my throat, they immediately shut up and look at me. "Parker you're my partner", I state and the frown that was on his face moments ago disappears and a smile appears. "Great right let's get started", he suggests, and Ava glares at him from the side.

Something is going on with them, and it's obviously not a good thing. Parker hastily grabs my hand and pulls me towards the exit. Before we are out of sight from Ava I lock eyes with her mentally telling her that she is going to tell me everything, she replies with a nod before we leave.

I know its best not to ask Parker about it because I can see irritation lingering behind his fake smile, and whenever Parker gets mad I never really want to be at the end of that argument.
