 Chapter 10

I slowly sipped the steaming hot tea as Harry and I waited for the results. I was sitting on my couch fully covered, large jumper and baggy sweats, trying to warm up my shivering body.

After throwing up, I became very cold and was shivering all over. Harry bundled me up, warmed my tea, and planted me on my couch while he went to the store.

I'm very grateful for Harry and all his help. I don't even want to think about where I'd be if he hadn't of come. I'm just happy he saved me and that he stayed here and is taking care of me. That's real sweet of him, he's quite lovely now that I think about it.

He's also very fit. Those curly brown locks look amazing on him. His eyes were the first thing about him that I noticed, that emerald green, they're so hypnotizing. His adorable smile and those little dimples that just all come together make him look so alluring. He's perfect really and I'm not completely sure why I keep thinking about him in this way, but I do.

You’d think that it would be odd, because he saw me completely naked and bathed me, but I don’t think nudity was the big deal. He just treated me as if I had clothes on, he wanted to take care of me and help me get better. I was in a vulnerable state, and he was there to pick me up.

"Christina?" He walked into the living room holding the pregnancy test he bought for me. My heart hammered in my chest, anxious to know the news.

When I was over the toilet, the only thing I could think of from the random puking was morning sickness. Harry rushed to the store and I took the test as soon as he got back. It's been ten minutes and he's holding all the answers in his hand.

"Just tell me." I closed my eyes shut tight, praying for good news.

"You're not pregnant, love." Harry breathed out and I finally felt relieved. He came over and wrapped his arms around me, engulfing me with his strong scent that I’ve grown very fond of.

"Oh thank you, that's such a relief." My fingers laced together behind his neck and he squeezed me tight. "Harry,” I pulled away and I swear, we were inches from our noses touching. I looked him straight in the eyes. “I just want to say thank you for everything."

"There's no need. You deserve it with everything's that's happened to you love. I'll be here for you, you just gotta let me." He kissed my forehead and gave me one more hug before getting up and making another cup of tea for us.

I got up and ventured into my art studio, it took some time to get there because of my sore body, but I was smiling when I looked at the paintings from yesterday on the walls. I took out the easel and all my brushes and started to paint on a fresh canvas. I needed to get my mind off of everything and art was that perfect escape. I let my mind flow, all my emotions splattering into this one piece.

I heard Harry's wandering footsteps down the hall but I ignored them as I was so into this painting. I felt him watching me from the door and I turned around to smile at him while I sunk my brush into a bowl of water. He simply smiled back but stayed quiet as he continued to watch.

I effortlessly stroked the brush over the canvas creating texture and dimension to the piece. I cleaned my brush once more before dipping it into the red and dabbing it onto the painting as well. I used dynamicism, implied texture, and dimunation of scale. Everything I recently learned in my art class. Once I was finished, I set my brush down after cleaning it and looked at the artwork known as painterly style.

"You're so talented." Harry spoke up wrapping his arms around me from the back and rested his chin on my shoulder. "Why didn't you tell me you could paint?" He whispered in my ear, his hot breath tickling my neck.
