Chapter 12

Christina's POV

I just sat there. Looking up at my ceiling fan spin around and around. I pressed a button on the remote and with a click, the fan moved at a faster speed. This is what I had been doing for the past hour. I closed my puffy red eyes and pretended I was somewhere else, like the beach. Lying there on the warm sand, listening to the waves crash onto the shore as I drifted into a sleep.

A loud banging woke me out of my daydream and I heard a familiar voice. "Christina, open up. It's me Louis." He was yelling pretty loud because I heard him all the way from my room upstairs.

When I didn't come to the door, he rang my mobile. This was the first time that I actually looked at my phone since I went to that ice cream place. I had several missed calls and messages from Stella, a few from Niall, and an incoming call from Louis.

I slid the lock and Louis' face appeared on my screen. "Hello?" My voice was scratchy when I answered, but I could care less.

"Christina, come open the door." He sounded out of breath for some reason.

"No. I can't get up." I answered, monotone.

"Oh my gosh is it that bad?" He whispered, sadness laced in his voice.

I gasped, angry that he knew. "How do you know?" I didn't want everyone to find out about this.

"Harry told me when he came home and started yelling at me and breaking glass. I yelled back at him though, don't worry." He explained.

I smiled at this. Louis sure was a sweetheart, always knowing how to make you smile and laugh. "The key is hanging in the bush."

He said bye once he found it and in a matter of minutes, he made his way upstairs to my room. He walked in and his eyes grew larger, surveying the injuries I received that were quite visible. He kneeled at the side of my bed where I was laying and grabbed my hand.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you. Christina, I promise you don't deserve this one bit." He spoke softly as if I was a baby he was trying to put to sleep.

"I still can't believe it happened to me." I choked out, feeling my eyes start to tear up. I hated myself in that moment for feeling so weak, the last thing I wanted was pity from anyone.

"Shh, it's okay love. Everything is going to be okay." He rubbed my arm and his eyes pleaded with me to agree with him.

I simply shook my head, "That's what Harry said, and look where we are now. Fighting."

"No, love. What Harry did was wrong, he let his emotions get in the way of what is right. You just went through something terrible, and it's understandable that you wanted his company. But he was being selfish when he made a move on you. I'm glad you yelled at him because it brought him back to reality."

"I love you, Louis. Thanks for being here for me." He smiled and nodded. "Even though I hate Harry right now, he did save my life. I owe him."

"You don't owe him anything, what he did was what anybody should have done. You just need to stay strong. I will be here for you, anything you need, you tell me." He leaned over and kissed my forehead.

"Thanks Lou."

I was just about to ask if he could make me some tea, when Stella barged in through my bedroom door. She looked all frantic and was breathing hard. She gasped when she saw me, all my bruises, cuts, and my tear filled eyes. Louis was still kneeling at my bed and Stella brought her hand up to cover her mouth, still shocked from my appearance. She immediately changed from shock to anger, looking straight at Louis.
