Chapter 13
Harry's POV
It was only a few days since I last saw Christina, almost a week now. It was Saturday and we had a concert tonight that Liam invited Christina too. I was not only anxious about the gig, but also about seeing her after everything we went through. It feels like it has been a lot longer than it really has been. I knew I had to do something, something that would change her resentment toward herself and show that I truly did care.
I rolled out of my bed and grabbed my jeans off the floor- the same ones I wore when I saved her that night. Looking in both pockets, I finally found what I was looking for. The crumbpled up piece of paper Christina gave me when she told me about her art online. I stared at the paper for awhile that contained her curly handwriting while I figured out a plan.
Retrieving my phone off my bedside table, I quickly called the number I was looking for. I had a plan now and nothing was going to stop me. I only had to wait a few seconds before the ringing stopped and the familiar voice spoke through the microphone. I smiled and explained my plan to one of my best mates.
Christina's POV
The last few days were hard for me. Although the nightmares didn't come as often, the hate picked up. Harry was getting a lot of bad publicity for the whole 'scandal' with the naked woman. I felt bad becuase it was my fault he was getting all this. If only people could know the truth.
I struggled to make myself get out of bed. I did the rountine like every morning now, made tea, skipped breakfast, sat on the couch, watched movies all day. But today was different. I checked my emails while sitting on the couch with my tea. There was five emails, all from my website that displays and sells my art. It linked me to my page where someone bought five of my artworks, for an expensive amount of money!
A thrill of happiness surged through me. Someone bought my art, and at a crazy high price! I threw my mobile on the couch and rushed to my art room. I found the pieces the person bought, and started to wrap them up so that I could send them out as soon as possible. I was just getting to the third piece when I heard a knock on the door. It was most likely Stella coming over in between her work shifts to make sure I was eating.
I opened the door to find Harry standing in front of me. Adorable curls, shy smile, hands stuffed in his pockets, nervous anxiety. My immediate reaction was to hug him because I wanted to be in someone's arms, but instead I slammed the door on his face.
"Christina, please. Open the door. I've brought someone that I think you'll want to meet." Harry pleaded from the other side of the door, knocking slightly.
I rolled my eyes, and seconds later I gave up. Opening the door to his beautiful face, covered with his irrisistable smile. "What, Harry?" I feigned annoyance to make myself look less interested than I really was.
"I brought someone." He smiled as if he was enjoying a private joke of his own. He turned to the bushes and whistled, and out came a tall brunet man with a small moustache growing and bright blue eyes. He was quite gorgeous.
"Pleased to meet you, Miss Burke." He held out a hand, and I firmly shook it, smiling back.
"Christina, this is my mate James. He recently bought five pieces of fine art. I think you might be well aquainted with those pieces, am I right?" Harry spoke up.
Realisation of his words hit me. This was the man that bought my art! I smiled broadly and clasped my hands together. "You bought my art?" The man simply nodded. "Wow thank you so much, sir." I was astounded.
"Please call me James, and your work is excellent. You're a very talented artist." He replied. I felt my face heat up as he complimented me.
"He was wondering if you had any other pieces he could look at in person." Harry inquired.
"Of course! Come on in."

James ended up leaving with the five paintings he bought, and also two more that he just purchased. In cash money. I was floored by the amount of money this man gave me, but he insisted that I take it because I deserve it.
We helped him load up the car full of art and waved as he drove off, promising he would keep in touch with me. I couldn't believe this all happened. I feel rich now with the loads of money I've now recieved.
I walked back into my flat, vaugely noticing that Harry was behind me following. I stepped into the art room and started cleaning up the boxes and packing paper I had out to pack the pieces. Harry bent down and helped me in silence, both of us obviously busy with what was on our mind. I shut the drawer to the closet and turned around to see Harry eyeing the piece that I titled, "That Night". The one he watched me paint only a week ago.
"What are you thinking?" I asked, breaking him from his stare.
"How much I would pay to buy this one." He stated, turning to face me.
"It's not for sale." I breathed. It isn't, this piece means too much to me to just give it away that easily.
He sighed and nodded. "Christina look, I'm extremely sorry for what happened between the two of us. It was totally irrational, what I did, and I apologize. I didn't mean to make you feel the way I did. Please, forgive me. You mean so much to me already and I would hate for us to stop being friends after what I did."
I sat down on my stool and tucked a loose strand of my hair behind my ear. "Harry, after you saved my life, I was fragile and hurt. I had no control of my feelings, and I was still in bloody shock of everything. I was stupid for letting you kiss me, and I hope I didn't lead you on. I accept your apology and I hope we can stay good friends." I smiled and he copied me. I gestured for him to move closer, and before I knew it I was back in his arms.
He wrapped me up in his chest and everything felt like it dissapeared. Every worry, every anxious dream, everything. It just all went away from this long hug we shared.
"Plus, you saw me naked. I don't think I could just let you leave off the hook." I giggled in his arms and he laughed, agreeing with me.
We stayed like this for awhile, not saying anything, just enjoying each other's company once again. We ended up making tea and talking the rest of the morning until it was time for him to leave for his concert. I told him Stella was picking me up later, and with that he left after giving me a quick hug.
I sat back down on the couch where we just were and smiled. Now everything is better, nothing can ruin this happy feeling I have. Or can something?
