I went home alone that day, despite hours of searching for my short friend I couldn't find him. He returned later that night, but it wasn't until morning that I realized he had been here the whole time.

"Hey." I said blandly, not really knowing what to say at the time after yesterday. He jumped not realizing I was there, spilling his morning coffee over himself. "Ah, fuck!" He hissed, holding his burnt hand. Grabbing some paper towels I gently took his hand, wiping the hot drink off of the back of his hand. "I'm sorry, I didn't know that I would scare you"

"It's okay..." he sighed, looking down at his hand as I cleaned it. "I just didn't expect to see you at this time...or at all today..." Having sympathy for his feelings, Ford backed off a bit. "Did you think that I was angry?" I questioned honestly, tilting my head. "Were you mad at me?" He responded, in which I replied with complete silence.

"That's what I thought" he said, looking down to his hands again, his point being proved. Grabbing his coffee, which was half empty, he headed out of the kitchen in a hurry.

"Now wait a minute!" I called, going after him, but he had vanished in thin air. It took me half an hour before I came upon an ajar window in my attic room. Curious I slipped my way through the window and onto the roof, where I had found my blond amnesiac. With his back towards me I approached him slowly, not wishing to scare him again.

I sat down beside him, dangling my feet off the edge with him. Obviously beyond nervous he flinched again, his coffee mug tumbling out of his hand and flying off the roof. "Damn it" he mumbled, face a bright red.

"Bit of a clutz today?" He let the smallest laugh, which was a positive sign to me. We stayed silent for a bit, questions about yesterday on the tip of my tounge.

"You know when your writing in your journal all the time this is where I come. I've sat up here for hours on end before" he started, pushing off my questions for later. "Either that or I'm sleeping" he quietly laughed. "Or I fall asleep up here." He grinned, avoiding eye contact and looking down into the woods.

"Why did you...do what you did yesterday?" I asked, avoiding the word kiss, knowing that I was poking at a sensitive area. He twiddled his thumbs for a moment before speaking. " I understand that you're mad, and please give me the chance to say that I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." I scratched the back of my neck, nervously laughing. "Okay, but you didn't tell me why you did it." At this point I could tell I was pushing it. But he was going to answer sooner or later, and better sooner rather than later. "It's...it's just that..." His hands trembled as he covered his face with them, obviously embarrassed.

"You don't have to tell me right now, if you need to sort some things." I changed my mind with a smile. He sighed beneath his hands, obviously relieved and looked over to me. "Thank you" he spoke silently, ending our conversation.

I later looked over to him to realize that he had been sleeping. A soft smile plastered onto my face as I watched him sleep peacefully. I woke him up, wanting to go inside, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to carry him in on the roof. I led the short man inside and let him sleep on my bed, the couch looking like a pain to sleep on at the time.

I walked downstairs into my basement, where I had an elevator. I signaled it to open and I got in. Going down to the second floor. The door opened and I stepped into the room.

"What's happening to me?"
