"Next" the Gyrosphere employee called Tyler, Zach, and Gray forward. At first he was just speaking in routine, "three? Pleas- oh, Tyler!" Giving the boy a kind smile Tyler nodded.
"Hey Shane."
"What are you doing out here?"
"Showing some friends around." Tyler motioned towards the tow mitchell brothers. The Shane boy nodded. "Do you have the triple in yet?"
"No, but we have the handicapped one with the bench. But it only has two seat belts, stay seated will you?" He nodded at her.
Tyler nodded. "Of course, come on guys."
Gray was the first to enter the clear ball, next Tyler, then finally Zach. "Enjoy the ride." The man called from the booth and before they knew it, they were off.
Gradually, they became further and further away from the ride's take off point. Jungle surrounded each side of them. Soon enough, the Jimmy Fallon safety video came on. Tyler had heard it a million times.
"So what are we going to see in this Giant hamster ball?" Zach looked around them.
Chuckling, tyler muted the safety guide and looked around with them. "really pretty much everything the park has to offer except for the raptors. Too dangerous right now."
"So you really train them?" Zach asked as Gray admired the scenery.
"Yeah, after this I can show you guys Echo if you want. She's the only one that I can let you close to though. The others listen to Owen."
"Owen's you're older brother?"
"Yes sir."
"How old?"
"Well, I think he's almost 37 now."
"Oh wow, ugh-"
"Yeah I know, quit the difference. I'm not really his 'sibling". She smiled waving him off. "His mom and dad couldn't really take being alone when he went off into the military, so they adopted me."
"You were adopted?" Gray suddenly chimed in.
Nodding again, Tyler looked around the globe and towards the fields around them. "Yeah, but that's a story for another time. Look to your left." She cooed while pointing over Gray's shoulder. Immediately, their breaths were taken away. Long necks, the most recognizable dinosaur, were grazing the fields before them. Smaller reptiles ran back and forth playing with each other. "People come here for the rides and to get away." Tyler breathed deeply looking towards the nature around them. "Lucky for me, I get to call this place home."

As the glorified hamster ball, as Zach would call it, adventured round and round throughout the field. Tyler's breath suddenly hitched feeling Zach's phone buzzing beside her. Instantly, he dug in his pocket for it. Once out, he could recognize the collar ID as Claire. "Hello?"
There was nothing but static from the other end though. "Claire? Claire?"
"There's no reception in the valley." Tyler muttered while sliding her phone back into her pocket as well.
As soon as Zach hung up, the walkie clipped to her belt began to vibrate. "Ty-sset-et-safe. N-ou-hea-?"
"Owen?" She tried talking back to him. "Owen, is something wrong?"
"Tyler! Ty-" Then it was all gone. everything slipped completely away and into static. tyler stared at the device questionably.
"Something isn't right..." she let out in a low whisper.
Gray was too caught up in the world around him to even hear her. Zach however, leaned over and saw her worried expression. "what?"
Rising her stare upwards and around the scene, she hit her lip. "something isn't right. I always get reception on this thing, it's older than Owen!" Out of frustration, she pounded on the side of the box getting no response. "we should head back."
"What?!" Gray finally tuned in. "No! Please Ty! We cant go back, we've only been here for a little bit!" Looking to the little boy their eyes locked. He seemed so hopeful, so eager. It was kids like him that were the reason the park even stayed open. The reason her and Owen even had a place they belonged.
Taking a breath, she caved and closed her eyes. "okay... but only for a little bit."
"Ah thank you!" Gray wrapped her in a hug causing her to smile.
Deep inside the pit of her stomach though, an unneasy feeling grew stronger and stronger. Something told tyler to turn around, to go back to Owen. To get the boys back safe... But here was gray, right next to her. Eyes wide and filled with desire.
Little did she know, those eyes were the one thing that was going to ruin her life forever.

Reaching the edge of the fenced in exhibit, all three sat forward both sat forward with a bewildered look. The gate was smashed in, broken and trampled. "what happened here?" Zach asked making the geosphere come to a stop.
Of course they were looking to tyler for an answer. But she honestly had no clue. "I don't know..."
After a long silence of studying the surroundings, zach shrugged. "Only one way to find out."
Gray beat her protest. "WHAT NO!? are you insane?"
"Zach, those gates are up for a reason. Whatever got past them shouldn't be messed with."
"Oh come on tyler." Her name coming off his lips somewhat made her tense. "you said you wanted us to have the full Jurassic experience."
Then, before she could refuse zach was pushing them forward and through the opening of the gate. Slowly, she rose the walkie to her mouth. "Owen. We have a problem."
Looks like they were going off-road.
