The water flooded into her ears like a drum. It wrapped her in a cool embrace, the air from her lungs being whipped away upon intact.

Once in the muffled silent waters though, her mind began to work.

She made out two shapes fighting for the surface, Gray and Zach. So grabbing off of their feet, she handed them downwards so they were eye level. The sharp pain in her arm made her scream. Bubbles of what breath she had left rose to the surface.

As they looked to her though, she shook them away and pointed towards the surface. They needed to wait, they needed the asset to think they were dead. Otherwise, it would never stop.

It seemed both boys understood what she was trying to say because they waited beside her.

As her hair flowed loosely about in the water, she did her best to fight the burning sensation in her lungs. Meanwhile, zach looked down to the long trail of red that was flowing from her arm and into the water around them. Out of the open cuts on her arm, he could see shards of glass glistening with the sun above. That's why she screamed.

Tyler's movement pulled him from his thoughts as she moved towards the surface. Both boys immediately followed her.

Once at the surface, all three gasped for air. The asset was gone, and the relief washed over them as they climbed onto the shore. Side by side they lay in the sand, the boys on their stomachs and tyler on her back. Each were soaked to the bone, breathing heavy, and in pure shock.

Zach looked over to his little brother with a smile. "you did it... you jumped!"

Forcing herself to a sitting position, tyler leaned her back against a rock as the boys collected themselves.

There, she sucked in a breath and observed her wound. It was bad, deep, and going to get infected. "Woah." Gray crawled to her and looked at her and too. "that doesn't look good."

Hissing as she tried to pull out a shard, she gave up and looked away. "we gotta find somewhere safe. Get some distance between us and here as fast as possible."

Zach helped her to her feet.

"What was that thing?" Gray asked.

Biting her lip, she looked up to where they once stood. "I don't know, but whatever it is." She took a breath. A roar in the distance caught all of their attention. "it's hunting us."

----------------------------------------------------------
"Owen." Claire climbed out of the jeep. They had just found long necks scattered through the field. Some dead, some mourning, but most slowly dying. The asset wasn't killing for food anymore, it was killing for sport. "Look!" She pointed at the scene.

He stopped the jeep and climbed out as well. "Hello there! I'm Jimmy Fallon and welcome to the Geosphere!"

As the safety video within the Geosphere played out glitching every now and again, meanwhile, Owen stood back as Clair sprinted towards the shattered device. "No,no,no!" She practically cried picking up Zach's shattered phone.

Looking to the mud on their left though, Owen approached Claire. "hey..." he spoke softly catching her attention. "they made it out." Pointing to the footprints in the mud, he watched as her hope flared once again seeing their tracks.

Something burned in Owens chest though. There were three sets of prints, and one of them were boots.

As Claire began to rise in excitement, Owen looked to where she was and his heart froze. "they're alive! Thank god!"

"Yeah..." he grumbled crouching down. There, he picked up the shining metal that was smashed into the mud. Around it though, a red crimson soaked the chain. It was Tyler's necklace. On the back was engraved the word little. "And Tyler's with them."

"Tyler?" Claire spun to see what he was doing. Once close enough, she peeked over his shoulder and froze as well. "is that blood?"

Owen let out a painful huff and stuffed the necklace into his pocket. "yes. And it's Tyler's."

"How do you know?"

The anger washed over him like a flood. Rising to his feet, he turned with a new goal on his mind. "because only she has that bad of luck."

He needed to find Tyler and the boys before it was too late. Before the asset got to them, before they got picked off, before tyler bled out... before her time ran out.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Standing on the ledge of the waterfall, Owen peered to the water below. "oh my god, they jumped." Claire teared up.

Under his breath, Owen grinned. "brave kids."

Suddenly, it seemed as if Claire had lost it. "ZACH?! GRAY!?"

He turned to face her with an angry look. "hey! Hey!" She needed to be quiet.

Swatting his touch away she hissed, "I am not one of your animals!"

"Listen. Those kids are alive, but you and I won't be for long if you keep screaming like that. "

"So... you can pick up their scent can't you? With their footprints?"

He immediately looked at her with disbelief. "I was with the navy, not the navajo!"

"So then what do you suggest we do?"

"What we do!?"

"We have to find them."

"I'll find them." there was no way he was dragging her around in heels and a skirt. "Tyler's smart, she knows to leave me signs. "

"No, WE'LL find them."

"You wouldn't last two minutes out here."

Taking his remark personal, she let out a huff and gave him the stink eye. Then, rolling up her sleeves, she tied her shirt tight to her body and ripped her skirt so it was more loose. Once done, she crossed her arms and waited for him to continue. "what does that mean?"

She just shrugged. "it means I'm ready to go."

Owen couldn't believe this woman. "okay." He hissed. "let's get one thing straight. " She shifted her weight and retightened her grip on her own arms. "I am in charge out here. You do everything I say, exactly when I say it."

"Excuse me?"

"Just relax." He grinned. "it's just like taking a stroll through the woods, 65 million years ago. "
