Knock Knock. I opened the door and Arrietty rushed in and ran to my room. I rolled my eyes and closed the door. I walked through our stone kitchen and grabbed an apple, then I walked quickly to my room. Once I walked in I found Arrietty looking at one of my pictures of Matt on my desk.
"So this is the boy!" she said happily.
I nodded and smiled. I took a seat in my black leather chair and turned my computer on.
"Does he go to our school? He doesn't look familiar at all."
"He doesn't go to our school."
"He doesn't look Irish at all Tay. What have you gotten yourself into?"
I shushed her and got onto my Skype. She gave me a strange look. I called Matt.
"What are you doing?" Arrietty asked.
Then Matt answered.

Arrietty screamed and it scared me half to death.
    "Arrietty! Whats wrong?"
She smiled widely and waved at the screen.
    "Hello The Boy! I'm Arrietty!"
Matt smiled.
    "I'm Matt."
Once he said something. Arrietty's smile faded. She looked at me.
"He's not Irish. Who is he? Where did you find him?"
I glanced at Matt and he nodded at me. I told Arrietty everything.
    'He's what!?" She yelled.
"I know. I know. But Americans aren't that bad. I promise. Plus, this one's cute."
I heard Matt giggle and Arrietty frowned.
"Why don't you date someone close? He's too far away. You guys are never going to meet. It's useless."
My smiled faded. I never really thought about it. I looked at Matt. He looked sad.
"I'm sorry I would rather date someone who is nice and kind to me than a total jerk who lives closer."
Arrietty laughed and Matt smiled.
"Does your mum know about this?" Arrietty said.
"You can't tell her. If you do, I won't be able to talk to him anymore. She doesn't like Americans. Please don't tell her."
She grinned.
    "You can count on me!"
I sighed from relief.
"Thanks. I'm gonna go do some things real quick. You guys get to know each other. I'll be back later. Let me know when you leave Arrietty."
    "Okey Dokey!"
I smiled and waved at Matt. He blew me a kiss and I closed the door.
