Lucky Girl

Once I came back I found Arrietty still talking to Matt.
    "What are you still doing here?"
    "Talking to Matt. He is so cool! You are so lucky!"
I giggled and looked over at Matt. He smiled at me. His teeth shiny and clean. I jumped onto Arrietty's lap and she yelped.
    "What the bloody hell are you doing?!"
I laughed and poked her stomach. She frowned at me and pushed me off.
    "I'm going home. It was nice talking to you Matt."
He nodded and smiled.
    "It was nice talking to you too."
She waved and walked out of my room with pride. I looked at Matt.
    "How was she?"
    "She was nice, actually. She scared me at first." He laughed. I smiled.
    "She isn't that bad."
    "I know. Just at first, with her warrior screech and all."
I laughed and nearly fell out of my chair.
    "I think you guys can be good friends."
Matt smiled.
    "Yeah."
