Chapter 5: Willow's life

Chapter five:

"Sorry about Aaron, he's well.. A jerk." Katie apologized to Willow. It was night and Katie had decided to get to know Willow.

"It's fine, I've dealt with jerks before." Willow smiled at Katie. She looked over at the steel door. It was locked tight after 10. Then Katie smiled mischievously.

"I think Ryan likes you." Katie teased. Willow looked at her in surprise.

"Don't be ridiculous, he doesn't even know me." Willow rolled her eyes. Then Katie's face got serious.

"Why aren't you upset about leaving your normal life?" she blurted out. Willow frowned sadly and hugged a pillow around her waist.

"I've been on my own since I was 8." Willow sighed, "My parents died and I was left with my aunt who hates me. She won't miss me and I don't miss her." a tear ran down Willow's cheek. Quickly she wiped it away. Katie hugged Willow trying to comfort her. Willow gave her a half-hearted smile. Then laid down on her bed.

"Why was Aaron even in here?" Willow laughed.

"Probably because it's the last place we'd look. He hates us." Katie rolled her eyes and laughed a little.

"Why?" Willow asked in a concerned tone.

"He doesn't like being in a team and again he's a jerk." Katie sighed. Willow thought about this for a moment and just sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Then that's Aaron's loss." Willow finally replied. Katie grinned and nodded.

"Exactly, i like how you think. I can tell we're going to be the best of friends!" Katie squealed and hugged Willow excitedly. All of a sudden a siren started to blare. Willow and Katie jumped up and ran to the door.

"What's going on?" Willow yelled over the siren.

"It means the buildings under attack!" Katie screamed back. The steel door suddenly flew up.

"Come on!" Katie yelled and zoomed out of the room using her super speed.

"Katie? Wait! I can't keep up!" Willow ran after her. Willow looked around for Katie but she was gone.
