Chapter twelve:

At first the room was silent. Everyone was trying to comprehend what Katie had just told them. Katie still looked really excited as she looked at Ryan, waiting for him to say something.

Ryan looked at her shocked but then managed to say something to break the silence, "Willow... Likes me?" Ryan's face broke into a smile and laughed a little in disbelief. Benny started laughing uncontrollably.

"Oh yeah, sure, Willow likes Ryan! Yeah, and I have a pet monkey!" Benny fell to the floor and clutched his stomach from laughing so hard. Everyone stared at Benny.

Usually he was so quiet, so for him to make such an outburst was really odd for them to see. Benny finally got up from the ground and stopped laughing when he saw Katie's face.

"Oh wait... You were serious?" He asked confused and scratched his head.

"Yes, she just told me." Katie responded still staring at Benny.

"But he's so obnoxious." Benny said looking at Ryan.

"Hey!" Ryan replied with an annoyed expression.

"Well you are." Benny laughed. Katie gave Benny an annoyed frown but quickly she smiled and turned to Ryan.

"Anyway, you should ask her out. You two would be so perfect for each other." Katie sighed dreamily. Ryan sat down on his bed and groaned.

"I can't, I mean where am I going to take her? The janitor's closet?" Ryan laid down and looked up at the ceiling. Katie thought for a moment and then grinned excitedly.

"You could have a romantic dinner on the roof top with beautiful music playing in the background. It could be candle light and-" Aaron cut Katie off.

"No, the roof top is my place. They can't go up there!" Aaron glared angrily at Ryan and Katie.

"You just can't stand the idea that I'm happy." Ryan huffed and eyed Aaron.

"Yeah, that too." Aaron smirked.

"Aaron, you do not own the roof top and I'm sure General Wallows will agree with me." Katie crossed her arms and glared at Aaron. Aaron sighed, obviously annoyed.

"Fine, one night. But that's it." Aaron scowled and pushed Katie, slowly out of the room.

"Great, thanks Aaron!" Katie smiled and then walked towards the girl's bedroom.

The next day Willow and Katie walked to the training room together. As soon as Willow walked in Ryan threw the giant 500 lb. metal block in the air and let it fall to the floor with a large thud. Ryan tossed his hair and gave Willow one of his best smiles. Willow smiled and waved a bit confused.

"What's going on with him?" Willow whispered to Katie. Katie grinned back at Willow and sighed dreamily.

"It's love at work thanks to me." Katie gushed happily. Willow narrowed her eyes and looked suspiciously at Katie.

"What did you do?" Willow questioned Katie. Willow crossed her arms and stopped walking. Katie stopped too, She had the biggest smile on her face.

"I told Ryan how you really feel, that you like him and want to go out with him!" Katie gushed again, jumping up and down excitedly. A look of absolute horror crossed over Willow's face.

"How could you do that?! I don't feel that way about him! I barely even know the guy!" Willow said as quietly as she possibly could. Katie gave a sheepish smile and played with her hair.

"Oops, well this is awkward." Katie laughed nervously. Willow scowled at Katie and groaned.

"Well what am I supposed to do?!" Willow waved her arms frantically.

"Just one date, you might even enjoy yourself." Katie begged Willow with her best puppy dog face.

"No, you're crazy." Willow laughed and started to walk away.

"Pllleeeeaaaassssseeeee! I thought we were friends." Katie whimpered, trying to guilt trip her. Willow turned to look at Katie and thought for a moment.

"I guess going on one date with Ryan wouldn't hurt anyone." Willow finally said in a sigh. Katie practically screamed with happiness and hugged Willow.

"But stop spreading rumors about me, ok?" Willow responded and pulled away from the hug.

"Fine, but I was just trying to help ya Willow." And with that Katie zoomed off to her training post. Willow sighed and went to hers as well. After the morning training Ryan stopped Willow in the hallway.

"Hey." He greeted Willow with a friendly smile. Willow looked up at him. She had to admit that Ryan was easy on the eyes and he did seem really nice, for the most part anyway.

"Hi Ryan, what's going on?" Willow asked with an innocent smile.

"I was wondering if, uh, maybe we could you know, um, go out on a date... tonight." Ryan struggled to stay cool and tossed his hair again. Willow could see that he was really trying to be as cool as he could and she thought that that was so sweet.

"Sure Ryan, but where are we going to go? I thought that we can't go out of the building unless we have a mission." Willow answered. Ryan tried to contain himself.

"She said yes!!!!!" he thought to himself and then told her that their date would be on the roof top. Willow's eyes got real big.

"I thought that was Aaron's place." she looked at Ryan in shock. Ryan smiled and laughed a little.

"Don't worry, I took care of that problem." Ryan flexed his muscles, trying to impress Willow. She just rolled her eyes and laughed.

"I guess I'll see you tonight." Willow grinned and walked away. Ryan couldn't stop smiling.

"She said yes!" Ryan thought out loud this time. He then walked toward the boy's bedroom.

That night Willow was just about ready for the date. She sighed and looked down at herself. Katie had let her borrow one of her dresses and it was beautiful. It was light blue with a frilled top and it was sleeveless, the dress fell right to Willow's knee's. Katie had also done Willow's hair. It was curled and pinned up with some pieces of hair loose at the sides of her face.

"You look gorgeous! You're going to have so much fun." Katie squealed with excitement. Willow laughed and took a deep breath.

"Well, I guess I'd better get going." Willow slowly left the room and walked up the stairs to the roof. She hoped that the date would be over with as soon as possible.
