losing track of time

*Jeffs POV*

I have kept trying and trying but I cannot get in! I have been trying for another month but I will never give up. Eyeless has kept my spirits high saying she's alive but refuses to tell anything else but that. It's been another full month since Slender took Kai. I walk back to the house and go through her stuff and something vibrates in her bag. I fumble around until I find her phone. She has literally over 100 texts from someone named anika. I look through them, most of them wndering where kai is. After fumbling around I text,

"this is Jeff." I facepalm because that didnt answer her questions.

"Jeff!? Wheres Kai? is she ok?"

"I honestly don't know. Slender man took her. I've been looking for her for two months.":

"WHAT?!"

"I know where she is, I just can't get to her." I reply and start walking back to the cave.

"what do you mean" she asks.

"Slender put up a barrier causing our dog and I to not be able to get in. Although Eyeless Jack can get in. He says she's alive but not much else" I text. I dont get an answer until I'm back at the cave.

"oh...hmmm well can I see your dog?" she asks. Hm..

"smile! get over here!" I yell at smile, who was just pissing on a nearby tree. He runs over and cocks his head. "sit and smile" I say sarcastically. He sits and I find the camera and take a picture of the dog and somehow send it to anika. I somehow caught eyeless in the pic too. The phone vibrates. I check it.

"wow! smile dog! Haha predictible." I laugh. it is.

"well going to try getting in again. bye" I turn off the phone and freeze. The first snowflake of the winter lands on my face, then another floats by. Soon enough it's full on snowing. Sh-t.

*Kai's POV*

I wake up, the same room I was in last. Nothing different exept the feeling of dried blood down my back. I stand, grab my knives and look around. Empty. I pick up the new hoodie and the rucksack. I throw the bread because it's spoiled. My mouth is really dry so I take a drink of the water and put it back and cautiously step around. I spot the exit. I walk to it silently. Another gate. I open it and go through. There in the middle, waiting for me is a large, four legged, facless being. It has countless tentacles sprouting out its back. Its body is a sickly white and is splattered with recent and old blood. It roars loudly and charges me. I jump straight up and kick it in the 'face' stunning it. I then go to run from behind, but it rears up and slashes down my back. I scream in utter pain. I stumble forward and the beast grabs me and throws me against the wall, I hear ribs snap as I hit the wall. I yelp and fall to the ground. I was about to give up and let it kill me when I heard a bark. Not a normal yappy bark like normal dogs. The deep chested, threatening bark of my favorite mutt Smile. I see him run from where the exit is and jump at the beast. The beast just swats him aside like a fly, Smile yelping loudly. I scream and charge the beast. NO ONE HURTS MY LITTLE SMILE! I jump and stab both my knive into the shoulders of the beast and put all of my weight on the knives, making them rip though the beast's shoulders like a hot knife through butter. I then repeatedly stab the thing whereever I can. The beast screeches at the sudden world of hurt and rears. I stab it in the gut and slash through and gut it. The beast roars one last time and drops. I forget my ribs and back, and run to smiles side. Smile isn't hurt badly, thank god! He looks up at me and barks happily and sits up and hugs me the best a dog can. I hug back.

"I missed you buddy! How'd you get in?" I ask him and kiss him. Yeah I kissed my bloody dog. Who cares. I,ve been in here for who knows how long! Smile shakes his head and curls up aganst me. I guess we do need to rest...
