Averie, the stylist socialite was photographed with handsome guys. One more than others but even though Aubrey had his share of video vixens he'd been rumored with but seeing Averie or hearing about her with other people was annoying to him. There was a lot more going on in America, especially for Aubrey himself but he kept up with Toronto. And Toronto was buzzing about this local girl with extraordinary celebrity appeal. But whenever Aubrey was in Toronto (which was kind of limited once his knee was completely healed and he was good for performing again), he knew he had to see the girl that knew him when.
Averie took Aubrey to his favorite restaurant to catch up on everything with the two. Since she was a newfound celebrity stylist, she wasn't on the top of the celebrity pyramid but she had an amazingly set up bank account. Averie dressed in all Versace, looked different in Aubrey's eyes. She always had a dressy cling but she wasn't really hung up on designers. Not fully paying attention to her outfit and her wardrobe change was not really paying attention to her evolving into a different person. Was that person really her? That's debatable.
Aubrey: I'll make note to write a song about your outfit.
Averie laughed as Aubrey took a sip of wine.
Averie: I'm Toronto's headliner. (Flipping her now red hair) What can I say?
Aubrey (Fresh off of moving from state to state): That you missed me.
Averie (Laughing): I get to see you on my tv or read about you in GQ. You're a stud now. (Sipping her water) Everyone has a piece of you.
Aubrey: It'd still be nice to get a piece of you every once in a while.
Averie: Once in a while. (She laughed) How have you been Aubrey?
Aubrey: I've been having fun with this success thing. Working hard. Having fun.
Averie: You already said having fun.
Aubrey: One's with my clique. The other is with you.
Averie: Don't lie to me. I know being out there on the road has taught you how to be a player.
Aubrey: No. Memphis, Tennessee has taught me how to be smooth. But enough of you trying to analyze me, what's going on with you?
Averie: You've kept up with me. I know you have.
Aubrey: I've kept up with how sexy you've gotten.
[Flashback]
Aubrey's favorite thing about Miami was this notorious local gentlemen's club called King Of Diamonds. The club was every guy's dream but it was an understatement to call it Aubrey's. King Of Diamonds is one of the top five reasons why Aubrey decided to buy a place in Miami. Lapdances and drinks and women and notoriety was like a men's Disneyland and Aubrey got to live it right down the street from his place. When he was in Miami by himself, there was absolutely no thought of Averie. And honestly, with Averie being who she was now, someone besides a socialite, she didn't really care. But there was still something deep down inside both of them that wanted them both to fall for each other. Because when Aubrey wasn't getting lapdances or head from strippers and when he wasn't paying for hotel rooms and passports, he was thinking about Averie and when she wasn't going on dates and being Toronto's fashion queen, she was missing Aubrey.
[Now]
Averie: I remember you. This between me and you is no different.
Aubrey: You really think that?
Averie: It doesn't matter what I think, now does it?
Aubrey (Laughing nervously): I can't answer that.
A waiter came by to tell them both that their food would be ready soon but Aubrey told him not to plate it and they took it to go. Aubrey and Averie took the food back to Aubrey's new condo downtown. They are in the living room and watched Californication. Averie and Aubrey split a glass of wine since Averie had to drive home (that's what she told Aubrey but she just wanted to create an awkward moment). Averie sat on the floor and Aubrey stayed on the couch. Averie picked over her food, not really paying attention to the show because she was on her blackberry.
Aubrey: Why aren't you watching?
Averie: I'm more of a Nip\Tuck kind of girl.
Aubrey leaned over to sit his food on the table then he sat on the floor and got behind Averie. He drank the rest of the wine and poured some more for Averie. He grabbed her hand then grabbed her phone and put it in his pocket. Averie turned to Aubrey.
Averie: Can I have my phone back?
Aubrey: No. We're bonding it. You'll get it back when you go home.
Averie knocked Aubrey over and got on top of him and grabbed his hand which was firmly in his pocket then they stopped. Averie tried to back off him but he leaned forward and kissed her. They both sat up straight and Averie wrapped her legs around Aubrey and kept kissing him. Averie's phone vibrated in Aubrey's pocket, which felt weird because Averie was sitting in his lap but they let it keep going. Aubrey undid her blouse and Averie took off her shirt. Aubrey kissed down her neck and chest then Aubrey and Averie heard a noise. Aubrey's cousin, Ryan was coming in. Averie quickly closed and tried to button up her blouse.
Ryan: Woah. Get some!
Noah and someone else walked in behind him, not really catching the entire ordeal.
Averie stood up and took her phone out of Aubrey's pocket and left his condo without a word. Averie had another place she needed to be. She actually thought that her and Aubrey's dinner would last only about an hour and a half but it was going on the three hour mark with them almost having sex. She managed to make it back to her place in time. Before she walked in, she reapplied her perfume and tried to air out the Aubrey smell on her. She thought about how he still wore drakkard noir and it was all over her.
Averie (Walking in, talking from the front door and walking into the kitchen): Sorry, I'm late, I got a little held up with something.
Matt (In the kitchen): It's fine. Now you're here, right?
He walked over to Averie and gave her a kiss.
Matt (Smelling the non-hickied side of her neck): You smell good.
Matt walked out of the kitchen to go get his jacket so him and Averie could leave.
