Chapter Eight: A Century

"Your his sister..." Damon said but more to himself, like he is trying to sink into his mind that I'm the sister of Ky.

"Damon are you alright?" I asked worriedly and placed my hand on his cheek because he look lost.

"Yana we have to go." Ky said all of a sudden, which cause Damon to hug me tighter and growled at him.

"You cannot take away what's mine! I will not let you!." Damon said angrily.

"And I will not let you treat my sister horribly. I haven't seen her for a century." Ky said and tried to snatch me away from Damon but he didn't succeed because Damon had a tight grip on me. 

But what caught my attention is what my brother said.

"Did you say century?" I asked in a small voice which cause them to stop throwing murderous glares to each other.

"Yes Yana...You've been gone for a century and father has never been the same the day you disappeared." Ky said.

A century....How could I be gone for a hundred years?

I can't believe it! No I refuse to believe it!

Ky must be lying but what would be the reason if he is lying to me?

"No...that's not true! Your just kidding right? Sure I could have been gone for a year, but to tell me that I have disappeared for a hundred years that's insane!" I said hysterically and then I started to cry.

I look at Damon, asking him to tell me that what Ky said is not true but what he told even cause a greater grief because I was hoping that at least he would assure me that I haven't been missing for that long.

"He is telling the truth and you have to accept it." Damon said then he look at Ky.

"You need to leave. I don't want you hanging around my territory Sky."

"I don't need your permission just to be close to my sister, and don't you think that I have forgotten what you have done before and I'm much older than you. You should learn how to respect your elder instead of disobeying them."

"I don't care if your older! As long as you are in my territory you'll follow my rules."

"Damon, you should not forget that I could take you down easily."

"'Bring it on old man." 

But before the two could start a fight I intervened.

"Stop! Stop! Stop it you two! I don't want you two fighting in front of me! All I want is to be alone!" I said while I released myself from Damon's hold.

"Yana...." Ky said with a soft voice

"I'm not leaving you." Damon said and tried to grab hold of my hand but I didn't let him because all I want is to be alone in my room.

"I just want to be alone..." I said in a gentle voice because I no longer want to cause a fight. I'm tired of all the happenings. I just want to rest and pause for while.

Truth to be told I don't know how to accept all the things that is slowly unfolding. I don't know if the next thing that I would discover will either break me or complete me.

"If that's what you wish my dear sister....I will take my leave." Then Ky disappeared in front of me like a blink of an eye he is gone, and that left me with Damon inside my room.

I look at him asking him to leave my room, though he has been sleeping here.

"Damon.....please just.....just this one...." I said because he is not making his way out of my room.

He gruff then leave my room as he shut the door and now I'm alone in the confinement of the four corner of my room, which I never thought would give me peace.
