Chapter Nine: Alone

Alone....

That's all I want to be now.

Alone inside my room, with no one who would bother me or even ask me what I'm feeling or what I'm thinking.

After knowing that I have disappear for a century, I can't help but feel like I've been dreaming all this time, that I would wake up soon and the first thing that I would see is Damon sleeping peacefully beside me.

But this is a reality that I have to accept, no matter how I denied what they have said. I will just prolong my agony.

But the bigger question is how come I have been gone for that long, there must be something my brother is not telling me, though I'm glad that a part of my life has appeared.

A century. Can fate been just playing me? But when my brother told me that he haven't see me for that long I know that he is sincere.

Suddenly I feel my head ache.

"Aaaahhhh!!!" I said panting.

Then the door to my room burst open and there stood Ky, my brother.

"Yana, what's wrong?" Ky asked worriedly as he sat beside me on my bed.

"Where's Mom?" i asked Ky desperately.

"Yana...Mom is no longer here. Are you having nightmares again?" He asked and wiped the tears that's been falling on my face that I didn't noticed.

"I need to see mom!" I cried hysterically as I clutched Ky's shirt.

"Calm down Yana. What you're doing is not good for you. Did you forget to take your medicine?"

"I don't need those pills you and dad have been giving me! All I want is mom..." I sobbed.

Ky hugged me tighter and keep saying soothing words till I calmed down.

"Ky don't you miss mom?" I asked him once my sob has died down.

"Of course, I do."

"Ky...."

"Yes, Yana?"

"I'll find mom."

"Yana, you know she is no longer here."

"I'll find a way." I said with finality.

And the very next day I tried looking for a way to find mom and after a lot of searching, I found what I've been looking for....

"Yana...Yana...wake up." Somebody said my name.

When  I opened my eyes, I saw Dani, Damon's sister looking down at me.

"I brought some food for you." She said then I look at the food she brought, then suddenly my stomach grumbled.

"Thank you." I said then I started eating the food.

"Damon said you haven't leave your room since yesterday and it's already midday." I stopped eating and look at her.

"Did you say yesterday and midday?"

"Did I? Of course, I did. Is there something wrong."

"No...its just that I didn't know that I haven't leave my room for a whole day. I must have passed out yesterday."

"You did and Damon didn't want to disturb you, that's why nobody is entering your room unless its him."

"Oh..."

"Liya, you seem not yourself. You know that you could tell me."

"It's nothing, I'm just hungry."

She stayed for a awhile but later on i asked her to leave me, saying that I wanted to be alone and she understand. Damon must have told her something because I know that on the short time that I know her she is a very persistent person but the good thing is that she left because i need time for myself.

A time to contemplate and accept the fact that I have discovered. 

And the dream or is it a memory of mine before.

I need to know what I was looking for and why I was desperately looking for my mom.

Was I was sick? That's why Ky was giving me pills.

I badly need to know it and Ky is the only person that might have answers.
