Vanessa's point of view
"Sometimes I wonder why some jokes hurt, then other times I wonder why I let the joke bother me so much, you know?" I told Miranda as I smoked, sitting on top of the tour bus since it was stationary and late at night.
"Yeah." She said and chuckled. "I ask myself the same. Just recently my brother had an episode again and he came home muy borracho and starred yelling at me for stuff. We always joke around, so it shouldn't bother me, but it does."
"Same. Ashton made fun of my thighs earlier today and for some reason it just set me off. I've been bratty since then, and it's not like I mean to its just, my thighs are my biggest insecurity. I want tiny thighs, like you and Bryana and Arzaylea." I said and she chuckled.
"Not really, I'd rather have curves. You're lucky." She said and I sighed as I closed my eyes. "What did Ashton say?"
"Nothing big enough to blow, but it still did. He just said thunder thighs and said that I'll have to buy new jeans soon because the rips like inside the thigh areas." I told her and she chuckled.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh. Didn't Calum or Michael say anything?" She asked me as I placed the rolled blunt between my lips again.
"We were all joking, they didn't think it hurt me since I called Ashton ugly like right after. Ash just laughed and agreed." I said and she chuckled.
"Your thighs are great." She said and I shrugged as a bell rang. "Lunch is literally almost over, I've got to go. Bye Nessa." She said and I sighed.
"Bye Andy, call me later." I said and she promised that she will. She hung up and I heard a door close as I groaned. "Fuck." I said and looked down.
"What are you doing on top of the bus smoking?" Calum asked me as he held a blanket over his shoulders.
"Why do you always wake up in the middle of the night? Go back to bed Calum." I said and sighed, glad that it wasn't Luke or Ashton who caught me. They'd flip the hardest.
"What's wrong with you? You've been irritable like all day." He said and carefully climbed up the bus, sitting beside me.
"Nothing."
"It was a trick question, I know something is wrong, I heard you. I just wanted to know if you'd tell me the truth." He said and I sighed as he took the roll from between my fingers, placing it between his lips to smoke it himself.
I wasn't getting that back I guess.
"Don't ask if you already know." I said and he set a hand on my thigh. I push his hand away and curled up into a ball. "Don't try. It's not happening." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"I wasn't going to try anything dirty." He promised and I nodded. He set his hands on the bus and scooted closer to me as he threw the blanket over my shoulders aswell. "Wanna tell me why you hate your 'thunder' thighs?" He asked me as he smoked away the last half of my blunt.
"I can't really wear shorts without my thighs eating them. They're the size of Russia when I sit down and it's literally all fat." I said and sighed. "I hate my thighs Calum. Miranda said thick is good but I'd rather have smaller thighs."
"My say probably won't help, but I love your thick thighs." He said and smiled. "Something to grab you know-"
"Calum-"
"Right, I'm sorry." He said and I sighed. "You're so beautiful and you should love every inch of yourself." He told me and I shook my head as he put an arm over my shoulders.
"Also, when I say love yourself, that means no late night smoking. You're killing your lungs." He told me and I rolled my eyes. "I know it's not frequent, but it's just as dangerous."
