Natalie's POV <3

Wait, what?

"Huh?" My eyes widened as I looked up at Nic, not sure if I heard right.

"Let me in." No, I heard right. I'm sure it looked like my eyes were bulging out of my head as I stared up at Nic. Was she serious right now? Did she really think I was going to let her in? Well, I didn't want to be alone, so that's a pro, but then I would be alone with Nic. "I know what it's like to be alone with your fear, and it sucks. Just, please..."

She closed her eyes, pressing her forehead against mine. I studied her face, but she kept her eyes closed. It was a minute of silence as I debated with myself the pros and the cons of having her over, before finally coming to a conclusion.

"Okay." Nic's eyes opened and she pulled back, a small smile on her face.

"Wait, really?" I nodded a bit, suddenly doubting my decision.

"Yeah, I mean, I won't be alone." She smiled wider, taking a step back.

"Then let's get in. It's cold out here." I nodded and turned to open the door. Cold air rushed from the doorway towards us, making Nic rub her arms. "It's even colder in there!"

I let out a light swear, heading straight to the thermostat. "My parents forget to turn off the AC when the leave sometimes." I turned on a bit of heat, hopping to warm the house up.

"So, care to give me a tour? Partially to your room?" Nic gave me a suggestive wink, which in turn made my cheeks flush.

"W-well, this is the living room, the kitchen is just through that doorway. Down the hall is the bathroom, my room, and my parents room." I pointed to each item before Nic started to head down the hallway. I assumed it was to use the bathroom, but when she turned into my room, my heart sped up.

"Dang, your room's tidy!" Her words made me rush to my room, looking in to find her laying on my bed. "And your bed is amazing."

I just watched as she stretched on my bed, placing her hands behind her head. "Well, I need to change." She nodded, looking over at me, but un-moving.

"I won't stop you." I could feel my cheeks heat up as I shook my head.

"Will you please leave?" She smirked, shaking her head. "Nic..."

She laughed lightly, sitting up. "Don't worry, cupcake, I'm going." I watched with honest disbelief as she stood and walked over to me.

"Unless you want me to stay..." I quickly shook my head, making her laugh again. "Didn't think so."

She kissed me swiftly and left the room, leaving me stunned for a moment. I shut the door before she could come back in, and grabbed my pajamas from my drawer. They were simple short-shorts and a tank-top, since my room got so hot at night. Something was wrong with the vents that led to my room, so it was either too hot or too cold.

I walked back to the living room to find Nic void of the living room, but there was a popping coming from the kitchen. There I found her with a half filled bowl of popcorn and another bag in the microwave.

"What are you doing?" She turned towards me, quickly checking me out before smiling.

"Making popcorn. We didn't really watch the movie at the theater, or eat the popcorn, so I thought that's what we would do." I nodded and watched her as she pulled the bag from the microwave before pouring it into the bowl.

"What movie did you put in?" She grabbed the bowl, walked back over to me, and into the living room.

"Saw four(IV), I noticed you had all of them, but that one was my favourite." I nodded and joined her on the couch, wrapping a blanket around me. "Hey, make room for me under there."

She sat next to me, somehow getting the blanket around her as well, and placed her arm around my waist. A stroke of bravery struck me, making me nuzzle into her. I could tell she smiled and reached into the popcorn bowl that was on both of our laps.

"Yep, I really like this movie." About five minutes into the movie, I could feel myself slipping into sleep.

I like you... Before I knew it, I was soon fast asleep, curled up in a ball next to Nic.

Nic's POV ;P

Once the movie finished, I felt myself yawn as I stretched a bit. I looked over at Natalie, smiling as I was met with her sleeping face. It made me want a picture. I luckily had my phone, but I couldn't get a good angle on just her. So, I went with a good-ol' selfie. I turned the camera towards both of us, holding it up to take the picture. And she was adorable in it.

I quickly set that as my home screen before un-lodging myself from her warm figure. She didn't wake up, just lay on the couch as I gathered the popcorn bowl and entered the kitchen. I didn't want to be rude and leave Natalie to do dishes when she woke, so I did them for her. Now, I never did the dishes at my own home, that was Peter's job. I also didn't care about them there.

As I was doing them, there was a sound that faintly sounded like my name, but I dismissed it as my imagination. However, when I heard it a second, more urgent, time, I remembered about Natalie on the couch.

"Nic?!" I quickly made my way back to the living room, finding Natalie sitting up and looking around the room. She was breathing heavily, which told me that she was afraid. I swiftly went over to her, kneeling down in front of her.

"It's okay, I'm still here." Placing my hands on either side of her face, I made her look at me. It took her a minute to calm down, but I remained right by her.

"Where did you go?" Her voice sounded so heartbroken, it made me feel awful, horrible.

"I was just in the kitchen, cleaning up." She nodded slowly, gasping one of my hands in her own.

"Were you going to leave after?" I nodded a bit, which made her face pale.

"Unless you want me to stay," I quickly offered and she nodded, like a child. "Alright, cupcake. I'll stay. Let me finish cleaning up first then we'll go to bed."

She nodded again before I kissed her forehead and returned to the kitchen. It didn't take long to dry the few dishes, but when I returned to the living room, Natalie was fast asleep. The sight made me smile still as I went over and picked her up. I carried her bridal style to her room, setting her on her bed, when her hands clasped around my forearm.

"You were going to leave again..." I quickly shook my head at her accusation.

"Not at all; I need pjs too, cupcake." She nodded, releasing my arm as she relaxed. This girl was really afraid of being home alone.

"There are shorts in the top drawer..." She fell back onto one of her many pillows, eyes closing again. I had a question for her, but I kept it to myself and started to raid her drawers.

I found myself a pair of short-shorts, much like Natalie's, and a sports bra. I usually sleep shirtless, but I don't think Natalie would want that. After changing into the clothes and placing mine in the corner of the room, I slowly crawled into the queen-sized bed, trying not to wake her.

"Nic...?" Natalie's opened halfway, meeting mine in the darkness of the room.

"Yep, now let me in, I'm cold." She pulled the blanket up, letting me under.

"Jesus, you're cold." I smiled and nodded.

"I told you. Warm me up, cupcake." Snuggling up to her, I wrapped my arms around her waist and rest my head in the crook of her neck.

"Goodnight, Nic." I smiled again, closing my eyes and breathing in her scent.

"Night, Natalie." It was only a few minutes until I was fast asleep in the comfort of my cupcake.

A/N: yes, short, but don't complain. The last one was huge. Thank you for reading, btw, it means a lot. :)
