Nic's POV

"It was a normal day, much like this one, where a young girl met her fate with a doll. You see, this little girl loved dolls, and she had a huge collection of them. She was out with her parents on this normal day and they stopped at an antique shop, for the parents had a love for old shit.

The little girl looked around while her parents argued about this rug, or some shit, and that's when she saw it. A doll on the counter. A doll with perfect porcelain skin, flowing hair, and some other pretty shit that dolls have. She instantly knew she needed to have this doll for her collection.

This little girl asked the old woman behind the counter how much the doll was, but the woman replied that the doll was not for sale. The girl pushed and finally the woman reveled that the doll was cursed!

But the little girl wanted it so badly, she said she didn't care if it was cursed. The little girl kept begging, and begging, until the woman was so sick of this little brat bothering her that she said the girl could have the doll, but not to blame her if anything bad happened.

The girl took the doll and told her parents she was going home to add the doll to her collection. They were so absorbed by the rug argument, that they didn't care. Then the girl made her way to their apartment.

She was so ecstatic to have a new doll, as she got into the elevator, she didn't realize the elevator wasn't moving. When she did, she began to panic.

'Oh my God, is this the curse of the doll?!' The girl thought. Then, ever sooooo slooooowly in her arms, the doll moved. First its head turned towards her, then its eyes fluttered open, then finally, its mouth cracked open and it said...

'Push the button to go up, bitch!'"

Once I finished my tale, I sat back into Kate's couch with Natalie beside me. My girlfriend had laughed at my 'scary' story, while everyone else just groaned and looked bored.

"Nic, you tell us that crap ghost story every year!" Lily sighed, exasperated, but I just stuck my tongue out at her.

"Hey, you know that's the only story I know and you were the one who asked if anyone had any stories. At least I came prepared to share the Halloween spirit. Plus, Natalie laughed." I placed my arm around Natalie's shoulders, holding her close to me.

"We all laughed the first time you told it, but after that it just gets boring," Kate complained. We were all currently sitting in Kate's living room, all dressed in costumes and waiting for the party to start. Kate had told pretty much the entire school that her party started at six, so we were all there around five, bored out of our minds and killing time.

"At least we're all in costume this year. Last year was just depressing." True to his word, Hayden was dressed in tight white leggings, t-shirt, and a unicorn, topped off with a rainbow tail. Lily was a cute purple and black witch, while Layla was a zombie after Lily's constant begging. Heather was Harley Quinn, while Natalie and I were vampires. And let me tell you, Natalie made one sexy vampire.

"Trust me, that won't last long. About half of the people who show tonight won't be in costumes, watch." When the time came, it seemed Kate was mostly right. Most of the people were in costumes but there were plenty who weren't, just here to get drunk and laid.

"So, cupcake, what do you want to do first?" I asked, linking my arm with Natalie's to keep her close to me and not lost in the crowd.

"I don't know, I've... I've never been to a party like this before." That didn't surprise me in the slightest.

"Well, what do you think people do at parties like this?" In the low lighting of the room, I could just barely see my girlfriend blush.

"Um, drink obviously, dance... play never have I ever..." I smiled a bit, raising my eyebrows at her.
