Nic's POV

I'll be honest with you. The week was as boring as hell. Not much happened aside form the normal teasing and then some. The boredom drove me up the wall, which is why Natalie and I were going on a picnic.

"Nic, where are we going?" However, Natalie didn't know that.

"Don't worry, cupcake, you'll like it, I promise." She let out a frustrated sigh, but I just smirked. It had been like this pretty much the entire ride, though I didn't mind. A frustrated Natalie was a sexy one.

"Why won't you just tell me?" I laughed a bit and stopped the car.

"Because we're already there." Her eyes shot to the window, gazing at the park beside her. I quickly grabbed the basket I had hid in the back of the car before getting out while she was distracted. "C'mon, cupcake."

She snapped out of her shocked state before following me out of the car and up a hill. "You drove us all this way just to sit on a hill and have lunch?" I smiled at her bewildered tone as she followed me up.

"Yep. What better to do on a Saturday?" A tree came into view as we reached the top, making me smile. Still the same.

"Oh, I don't know, laying on my couch watching movies and cuddling..." I smiled at her not so quiet grumbling before turning meeting her eyes.

"That's tomorrow. Right now, you're going to plop your gorgeous ass under this tree." Her cheeks flushed at 'gorgeous' as she grumbled something like "don't stare at my ass" and sat where I pointed on the blanket.

"Besides the point, what did you pack us?" I sat beside her, shifting through the basket.

"Some sandwiches of different kinds, applesauce, pudding and jello. All different flavors too." She blinked a few times as I looked at her from the basket.

"Why did you pack so much?" I shrugged, pulling out two different sandwiches.

"Well, you know how I eat, and I wasn't sure what you liked. Peanut butter, or turkey?" I held out both, watching as she grabbed the peanut butter.

"That was sweet of you..." Smiling, I leaned over and pecked her cheek before she unwrapped it.

"Not as sweet as you, cupcake." Her cheeks flushed, matching the shade of her hair. We started out eating in a comfortable silence that only we could share. As comfortable as it was, though, I was never one for silence. But I didn't break it, my phone did.

"I swear to god, if that's Phil..." I stood, walking a few steps away from Natalie, before answering the ringing phone. I didn't bother to check who it was, assuming it way Phil. However, assuming makes an ass out of you and me. Mostly me in this situation.

"Hey there, kitty." I froze. Just the sound of her voice was enough to send my nerves sky high.

"How are you calling me, I blocked your number." A single bead of sweat dripped down the side of my face as she tisked me.

"Oh, little kitty, I got a new phone, with a new number. And if you know what's good for you, you won't block this one either." I felt a chill run down my spine at the cold and threatening tone in her voice.

"Yes, ma'am..." The old habits that she had drilled into me started to return, making me shake my head and remind myself that it was over. "What do you want?"

I tried to sound threatening like she had done, and not terrified like I actually felt. She only sighed. "Nic, that isn't a very nice way to talk. But if you really must know, I think your new girlfriend's pretty cute."
