Chapter|09 (POV* Cancer)

  "Virgo! You know you're not suppose to have that!" I angrily whispered to her as she pulled out her phone. I made sure to not be loud for others to hear. We were on the bus, on our way to the camp, that I was stoked about going to. We both knew we weren't allowed on our electronics on the trip there or when we got there. This was the opposite of how Virgo would act, but I guess she'd do almost anything for her fan fictions and ships.

I doubt she was the only one on her phone. I had saw a few others while we were boarding, quietly pulling out their phone and getting on them. They would glance up quickly and try to hide it, acting like nothing happened. But I pay attention to the smallest of details. Since I wasn't one to tattle on others, I didn't bring it up to the teachers. I just hope I wouldn't regret it.

"Everyone, please quietly take a seat!" Mr. Smith was calling from the front. His voice boomed all around the bus, and everyone quickly got quiet. Although he didn't look imitating, he surely was. Well, or maybe it was the fact he gave out detentions for the smallest of things. For example, last week a kid got a detention for 'being too loud while testing.' When in reality, he had just dropped his pencil on the ground. R.I.P man.

A few more people boarded the bus, and took the seats in the front were there was still free ones. Virgo and I had managed to get on quiet fast, so we were only in the fourth seat from the last.

"This ride will about an hour to get there...." He started but got interrupted with a lot of boo's from people. "The next person I catch booing, you will get a weeks worth of detention!" He threatened. Everyone cut their boo's off, and it got completely silent.

"As you all know, you are going on a four day camping trip. You will be sleeping in cabins, and each cabin will have a letter and a number. You will only sleep in cabins with people that have the same genders. If anyone is caught trying to switch, you will be in big trouble," he said in a monotone. A few chuckles irrupted from around the bus.

      I was confused. I looked at Virgo and she seemed to be grinning too. I hadn't noticed that she actually put her phone away. She looked at me and saw that I didn't get it. What? He was just explaining rules?

      Virgo shook her head. "Your too innocent minded," she said to me as she returned her eyes back to Mr. Smith.

     "ENOUGH WITH THE LAUGHING! You there, DETENTION!" He bursted out and pointed to the kid that was in first seat. Poor kid, hasn't even made it to the camp and already getting detentions. But honestly, I wasn't surprised.

     "I will not tolerate this kind of behavior!" He said angrily. The veins in his small face seemed to pop out. Some kids snickers and pointed, she he crossed his arms and took a seat in the seat behind the bus driver. I guess we weren't going to get the rules told to us. I was bummed about that.

     We were stationary, until a voice came over Mr. Smiths walkie talkie. He muttered something to the bus driver, and she nodded. Then the engine made a loud noise, and the wheels began to roll.

     Excitement was brewing up inside of me, and it was getting hard to contain it. I couldn't wait to get to the camp! I wondered what all the activities we were gonna do. Fishing, boating, swimming? Oh! I remember them talking about a zip lining area! Wait.... I hate heights. I frowned. That was just one thing that I was going to be departed from.

    I hope I get a cabin with Virgo. Or at least with Pisces or Sophia. I'd rather not get a cabin with people I don't know. That'd be awkward, and I don't really think new people like me a whole bunch...

     "Cancer?" Virgo snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked at her and she looked confused.

     "Why were you frowning?" She asked. Oh! I hadn't realized I had frowned. I could feel my cheeks heating up.

     "I was just thinking about camp..." I replied shyly. Virgo took out her phone.

     "Oh... I thought you wanted to go to camp? So why were you frowning?" She asked as she clicked her phone on. She still continue to look up at me.

     "Well...um..." I was hesitant. I knew Virgo was aware that I didn't like heights, but she had no trouble with them. So she could drag me with her, just to get back at me for making her come. She was going to fake being sick, just to stay home, and mostly read her books. Virgo was an absolute nerd.

     Virgo nodded, telling me to go on. "I....don't like heights!" I said fast. Probably too fast, by the way Virgo started staring at me.

     "What did you say?" She asked, as an evil smile crept across her face. I knew what she was doing...

      I let out a sigh. I was too kind to just ignore her. "I am afraid of heights..." I replied slower this time and defeated.

     Virgo smiled brightly and it seemed like she was doing a happy dance of some type. "You know I remember the zip-lining right? I read the paper!" She said excitingly. She finally found something she could use against me to bring my spirit down.

     I sighed. "You're lucky I'm nice..." I mumbled. Virgo looked at me, but this time I didn't reply to her.

     While Virgo was on her phone, I was just sitting there, looking at the floor of the bus. Occasionally, Virgo would smile or frown, and say something like, "Yes!" Or, "I told you not to do that!" I just smiled and shook my head at how weird and crazy my friend was about her books.

Authors Note:

      I apologize if this chapter was short, this was more of a filler so that they could actually get to the camp. I am aware that I haven't done a POV in Aquarius, Leo, and Libra, I plan on doing one of each soon while they are at the camp. Also sorry that my updates haven't been 'frequent,' I've been a little busy with testing, soccer, and just school in general lately. Also I have been working on other content on MyNamesBlurryClique :)
