A Team Rocket Story (Name in Progress)

Chapter 21

All I did during my break was chug down an energy drink with James before going back out to Sophia.

"So, you said, Sophia was the second strongest Class A thief?" James asked as we were walking back outside.

"Yeah, I've never battled her though." I may have never lost a battle since Growlithe evolved into an Arcanine, but that didn't mean I battled everyone in the base. There are a few people I haven't battled. I only battled the eight gym leaders in Kanto, I still have yet to battle the other regions gym leaders. There are also a lot of trainers as well as other team rocket members I've never battled. Sophia was one of the majority. We walked back to the field and sure as she said she'd be, Sophia was still waiting there, "Ready to battle, Sophia?" I asked her.

She jumped as I walked up behind her, "Yeah! O-of course I am!"

I laughed a little, "Alright, how many Pokemon?"

She paused to think before answering, "Three, if you don't mind!"

"I don't mind at all! Go ahead and choose the battlefield."

Sophia scrolled through the types of terrains and chose one that was half water and half regular dirt, "Alright, here we go!"

I nodded and walked over to my box, "Sophia, I hope you know I'm not going to hold back!" I said gripping the poke'balls on my belt.

Sophia ripped a poke'ball from her belt, "I was hoping you wouldn't!" She threw the poke'ball, "Go Bagon!" The small Pokemon popped out of the capsule and landed on the dirt part of the field.

I grabbed Persian's poke'ball and threw it, "Persian, let's show Sophia what we can do!" Persian came out of the poke'ball, standing strong as ever, "You can attack first, Sophia!"

"Thanks a lot! Alright Bagon, Rock Smash!" Bagon started to charge at Persian.

"Persian, Play Rough!" I said. Since this was a fair type move, if Persian could hit Bagon with it, Bagon would be immensely hurt. Persian ran at Bagon and got close to it. Bagon was ready to use its move when Persian found an opening and tackled Bagon down and started to snuggle and toy with it. Bagon started to freak out and scream as it lost lots of HP.

Sophia growled, "Bagon, Dragon Rage!" Suddenly Bagon burst into dragon flames and broke free from Persian as well as making her lose some health points.

"Persian, Bite!" Persian pounced at Bagon.

"Iron Defense!" Bagon hardened itself with iron. As Persian bit into Bagons head, Persian took Damage instead of Bagon. Persian wasn't able to bite into Bagons iron-hard skin.

"Hone Claws!" Persians claws became stronger and sharper.

"Defense Curl!" Bagons defense rose.

"Slash, Persian, Now!" After sharpening her claws, Persian was able to cut through Bagon's defenses.

Bagon took more damage but was very low in health, "Bagon, Bite!" Bagon bit onto Persian's tail and held on tight.

Persian started to cry out and make an attempt at shaking Bagon off, "Persian, Shadow Claw!" Persian, with no hesitation, turned around and  scratched Bagon with darkness. That was it for Bagon, the rest of its HP was taken by Persians last move.

"Awe, Bagon!" Sophia cried out, "Return!" She said and called her Pokemon back.

I smiled, "You're not to bad, Sophia... I like the way you battle!" Persian sat where she stood.

"Thanks, but I'm not done!" She pulled another poke'ball from her belt, "Riolu, let's go!" The Riolu stood ready for battle.

I smiled and whipped my arm out, "Persian, Fury Swipes!" Persian started to run at Riolu.
