Chapter 7

Joey's POV

It took a couple of hours, but I finally made it to the motel Caroline was at. I pulled into the parking lot and texted her.

-text messages-

J- hey I'm here
C- ill meet you in the lobby
J- k.

I got out of Satsuki and walked into the lobby. About a minute later Caroline came out of the elevator. She ran up to me and gave me a big hug.

Caroline: (whispering) "Thank you."

Caroline's POV

I couldn't have been any happier to read Joey's text saying that he was finally here. I left my room and made my way down the hall to the elevator. When the elevator doors opened I ran up to Joey and hugged him.

Me: (whispering) "Thank you."

I took him back to my room.

Joey: "So what exactly happened?"
Me: "I caught him having sex with another girl."
Joey: "I'm sorry."
Me: "I got my reaction on camera if you wanna see it."
Joey: "How did you get it on camera?"
Me: "I was vlogging and I guess I didn't turn off my camera. I rewatched it and it was actually pretty funny."
Joey: "Then let's watch it."

The clip started with me dancing in the elevator on the way up to the room. I looked up at Joey and saw him smiling at my dancing. As the clip went on it got to the part where I heard the noises through the door.

Joey: "Well damn, they're loud."
Me: "Tell me about it."

Then it got to the part when I walked in on them.

Sam: "It's not what it looks like!"
Me: "Then what the fuck is it Sam?"

He didn't say anything.

Me: "Thats what I fucking thought."

Then it got to the part where I dumped my cherry Icee on him. Joey started cracking up at this part. After the video was over Joey said:

Joey: "Damn girl! You're feisty!"
Me: "Damn right I am."
Joey: "You don't seem upset anymore."
Me: "I'm over him now. At the time I was so pissed off. I mean he was a total dick but the fact that he had the nerve to cheat on me kinda pushed me over the ledge. Then I realized I was free of him."
Joey: "Honestly, I'm kinda glad he cheated on you."
Me: "I am too. But why are you?"
Joey: "You were so unhappy with him! He hurt you. He put you through so much crap. You deserve better than that!"
Me: "Then who do I deserve?"

Joey didn't say anything. But he didn't need to. I already knew what he was thinking.

Me: "You like me, don't you Joey?"

He shook his head no.

Joey: "I might be in love with you. I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you, though."

I smiled and kissed his cheek.

Me: "Did you really just quote Divergent?"
Joey: "Maybe. But it's true though. I kinda love you, Caroline."
Me: "I kinda love you too. But I think I want to be single for a while."
Joey: "Oh."
Me: "You know I really like you. But with the way me and Sam's relationship was and how it ended, I think I just want to live the single life for a little bit."
Joey: "I get it. Just let me know when you're ready."

We both looked at each other and sang 'Come & Get It' by Selena Gomez.

Joey's POV

I completely understand that Caroline wants to be single for a little bit. I can't deny that part of me really wants to be with her though. Maybe us not being together yet is a good thing. We can get to know each other better. I mean it would be kinda crazy dating someone you met a little over a week ago when you think about it.

We spent the night at the motel. In the morning we drove back to LA.

-back in LA-

Caroline: "Apartment sweet apartment!"
Me: "I'll help you carry your bags in."
Caroline: "Thanks Joey!"

We brought her suitcases into her apartment.

Caroline: "I think I'm gonna make some coffee. Want some?"
Me: (in my grandfather voice) "No thanks. Coffee makes me shake like no other."

She laughed.

Caroline: "I would actually really love to see that."

While she drank her coffee we sat on her couch and talked for a bit. When it was about lunch time I decided to head back to me and Sawyers apartment.

Me: "You can come over for lunch if you want."
Caroline: "Thanks, but I think I'm just gonna eat whatever's around. I have some editing to do."
Me: "Alright. Well I'll see ya around I guess."
Caroline: "I guess."

I was half way out the door when Caroline pulled me back in and kissed me. Her warm hands were around my neck. Her lips were softer than soft. They were perfect. She was perfect. I felt a spark. I wonder if she did too.

Me: "You have no idea how confusing you are."

She shrugged.

Caroline: "Good. But in all seriousness, thanks for everything. You're such an amazing person and I'm lucky to have you as a friend."
Me: "I'm lucky to have you as a friend, too."

Caroline's POV

Joey: "Alright. Well I'll see ya around I guess."
Me: "I guess."

Joey was almost out of the door when I pulled him back in and kissed him. I couldn't resist the urge any longer. His lips were as soft as I imagined. He was a really good kisser. I wonder if he felt a spark. I know I did.

Joey: "You have no idea how confusing you are."

I shrugged. He's right, I can be confusing. I guess I'm like a puzzle. But like any puzzle, I can be solved.

Me: "Good. But in all seriousness, thanks for everything. You're such an amazing person and I'm lucky to have you as a friend."
Joey: "I'm lucky to have you as a friend, too."

Joey's POV

We said our goodbyes and I walked back to me and Sawyers apartment. When I walked in I saw Sawyer playing with Hitch.

Sawyer: "Hey man, where've you been?"
Me: "Santa Monica."
Sawyer: "What were you doing in Santa Monica?"
Me: "Picking up Caroline. She caught Sam cheating on her."

I went on to tell him about how she walked in on Sam and his 'friend' and how she got it on camera.

Sawyer: "Are you serious?!?"
Me: "Yep. She dumped the Icee right in his head!"
Sawyer: "I NEED to see the video!"
Me: "It's so funny! I mean what happened sucks and all but her reaction was kinda priceless."

After we ate lunch we walked over to Caroline's because Sawyer couldn't wait any longer to see the video. A few seconds after we rang the doorbell Caroline answered the door.

Caroline: "What's up?"
Sawyer: "I can't take it anymore! I need to see the video!"
Caroline: "The video? OH! The video! Yeah, sure. Come in."

She ran upstairs and got her camera. When she got back downstairs she walked to the couch and sat between Sawyer and I. After the video Sawyer was cracking up.

Sawyer: "The Icee was a nice touch."

Caroline stood up and did a curtsy.

Caroline: "Thanks. I think so too."

Sawyer: "Well I gotta go edit a new video so I'll see you guys later."
Caroline and I: "See ya."
Me: "And then there were 2."
Caroline: "Mmhmm."
Me: "Did you ever post that video of the bed frame breaking?"
Caroline: "Yep. And I know you're wondering about the comments and stuff."
Me: "Am I that easy to read?"
Caroline: "Sometimes. People were saying that we are together now and had sex and that they ship us and etc."
Me: "What would out ship name be?"
Caroline: "Probably Coey or something like that."

I nodded.

Caroline: "Even if we were together, I'd still extremely ship Shoey."
Me: "I didn't expect you to be a Shoey shipper."
Caroline: "I'm full of surprises."
Me: "That you are."

-a few minutes later-

Caroline: "Wanna do a collab?"
Me: "Sure. What should we do?"
Caroline: "I was thinking of a Q&A video."
Me: "Sounds good. I'll go on twitter and ask for some questions."
Caroline: "Me too."

We walked up to the third floor of Caroline's apartment. She has lots of different backgrounds, lights, and she has like 8 different cameras and a couple of different lenses on a shelf.

Me: "Shoot girl!"
Caroline: "What? The camera collection?"
Me: "Yeah! It's so cool!"
Caroline: "Thanks. Which one do you want to use for the video?"
Me: "Which one is your favorite?"
Caroline: "Hmm... Probably this one."

She pointed to a Canon T5i.

Me: "Isn't this your new one you told me about?"
Caroline: "Yep. I'll set up the camera and lighting while you go look for some questions."
Me: "Ok."

After everything was ready, we began filming. We decided on doing 10 questions (5 for each video), starting with the one for my channel.
