Tear glared down Hayden and Hayden returned the look with an equal amount of force.
"Scum? Your kind stole our souls, from our land. You are the scum." He hissed back. Tear tightened his jaw and I could see an anger vein appear on his forehead. This was not my best idea i had ever had. Tear ran down the stairs of our porch until he was face to face with Hayden. They stared at eachother though neither of them spoke, they were trying to intimidate eachother. I stepped between them and pushed them apart from eachother. Tear pushed me aside roughly and grabbed Hayden's shirt. Hayden wrinkled his nose as he pushed Tear back away from him.
"Get off of me you fox." He hissed. Tear's eyes went red and I could tell he was angry. I watched as his teeth grew longer and he bared them to reveal that his bottom kanines had grown over his top kanines which had grown as well. His hair stood up on edge and I watched as fox ears and a tail popped out.
"Tear wait-" I said. I looked over at Hayden who had black mist swirling around him, and it screamed evil. I bit my lip as it grew more dense until it engulfed him and he emerged as a different person, he was wearing black armor, similar to the armor the demons wore, and his eyes were red as well but they were a different red than Tears, more of a blood red. In his hands was a scythe that seemed to phase in and out and I wondered if it was real or just my imagination, but I was pretty sure that it was real.
"Hayden, guy's... come on-" I said again though they both ignored me, as if they couldnt even hear my anymore. I shut my eyes as they charged at eachother and I instinctivley held out both of my palms towards them and ordered the roots in the dirt to grow around them. I heard a loud smack and opened my eyes to see Hayden and Tear pushed up against eachother and entangled in vines.
"Mara, what did you do...?" Hayden choked out. I put my hands down slowly and stared at them.
"I... I stopped you, I dont want you guys to kill eachother." I said simply. Tear glanced at Hayden and I laughed a bit as their faces were pushed against eachothers.
"Now stay here for a while until you're done fighting, I'll come back for you later." I stated. I turned to walk away but as I left I could hear them shooting insults at eachother, though now they could cause no physical harm to eachother. I walked inside my house and slumped down on my bed, deciding to take a nap, I would get them once I woke up. I glanced over at the clock to see that it was around 2, I needed to wake up before nightfall.
