I yawned and stretched my arms out on my bed as I opened my eyes and stared out my window at the bright sunlight filtering through my room. I smiled to myself and closed my eyes again until I felt a presence in my room. I opened my eyes slowly and glanced to the corner of my room where Tear was standing with a pissed off look on his face. I rolled over and looked at him, trying to push away the sleepiness.

"Hey Tear, what's up?" I asked. I stared at him and as my eyes adjusted I saw light red marks across his arms and face.

"What happened to you?" I asked. He walked over to my bed and knelt down to be eye level with me.

"What did you do last night?" He asked through squinted eyes. I raised an eyebrow and propped myself up on my arm.

"What do you mean?" I asked. Tear pushed his lips together as he stared at me before sighing and glancing away.

"Right. I forgot you dont remember anything." He said standing up. I watched him leave my room and glanced over at my clock. It was almost time for school. I got out of bed and began taking my clothes off from last night. I paused as I lifted my shirt over me head and pulled my shirt to my nose, it smelled strange, like a guy's cologne. I raised an eyebrow and glanced around my room. Did something weird happen last night? I shrugged it off and as I was changing my clothes I heard a knock on the front door and smiled knowing it was Kyoni. I grabbed my school bag and walked to the door to greet Kyoni.

"Hey, ready for school?" He asked. I nodded slowly, something seemed a little different about him, he seemed more confident. I waved to Tear, who ignored my as I left.

"So what are you doing tonight?" Kyoni asked as we began walking. I glanced sideways at him.

"Chores, like usual, you know my brother." I lied. Kyoni smiled a little bit.

"Well, I thought I knew, until last night." He said as his hand entangled with mine. I pulled my hand away nervously and turned to face him as we stopped walking.

"Whoa, wait a second..." I said. Kyoni dropped his hand to his side and stared at me.

"Did...something happen last night?" I asked. I watched Kyoni's eyes instantly change as a flash of anger shot through him.

"What do you mean? You're the one who came into my house and pushed me onto my bed." He stated with a flat voice. My face turned a bright shade of red, I didnt remember anything but had we done something really bad? I looked up at Kyoni hesitantly to see him almost glaring at me.

"Oh, what? Are we just going to pretend like it never happened then?" He asked. I opened my mouth slightly, I had no idea what to say.

"Wow. Alright fine, then go ahead and pretend it didnt happen." He hissed as he turned his back to me and began walking.

"Kyoni, hold on!" I yelled but he didnt bother to turn around. I groaned to myself and stood in the same spot for a while before I heard a voice.

"Heeey! Amaranth!" A soft voice called. I turned around to see a blue haired girl running towards me, waving.

"Oh, hey Karia." I said as she reached me.

"Are you going to school?" She asked. I nodded my head and glanced in the direction Kyoni had gone.

"Have a fight with your boyfriend?" She asked. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"It's nothing, how long are you going to be in town?" I asked. She put a finger to her lips and glanced up at the sky in thought.

"For a few weeks." She said. I nodded my head and turned to walk towards school though I could feel her following behind me.

"What are you going to do while you're in town?" I asked. I heard a soft 'hm' from behind me.

"Explore, maybe meet some new people... or something." She said. I turned my head a little as she matched my pace and came up beside me.

"Have you seen Issi yet?" I asked. She shook her head and pouted.

"She's been busy, I'll catch up with her sometime though, anyways I should probably go, I'll see you later!" She said as she took off ahead of me. I walked silently the rest of the way to school, wondering what I had to do to talk to Kyoni again. I opened the door to my class and sat down in my normal seat. Issi walked up and sat in the chair in front of me.

"Why the long face?" She asked. I shook my head.

"I uh, I met your cousin." I said. Issi tilted her head slightly and raised an eyebrow.

"My cousin? I dont have a cousin." She said smiling a bit. She put a hand on my head and ruffled my hair.

"Stop messing around." She said with a small laugh as she went back to her seat. I stared after her silently, if Issi didnt have a cousin who had I been talking to? I rested my chin in my hands and let out a long sigh. What a strange day this was going to be.
