I sighed and threw the football at Zack, successfully hitting his head, "I'm bored!" I whined, "Play catch with me!"

"Alex..." he whined back, "I'm trying to sleep. Go ask Jack, I think he's outside already..."

I scoffed and rolled out of the chair I was sitting in. No electricity sucks, let me tell you that. We've only been here for a couple of days and we've all ran out of ways to entertain ourselves.

The cabin was beautiful really, very rustic. A couch and two chairs littered the open floor planned room. Their was a kitchen area in the corner and a wood-burning heater next to the couch. For decoration there was some taxadermy and some other 'woodsy' things scattered acrossed the walls. For sleeping there was a loft with a set of bunk beds and a room with two twin beds. Zack and Rian were in the loft while Jack and I shared the room.

Speaking of Jack, I don't really know what to think about him anymore. His moods changes are giving me emotional wipelash, he's literally acting like a pmsing teenage girl. One minute he's happy-go-lucky Jack, he'll act like normal, like my best friend again. Then, he'll turn into pissy Jack, the Jack that Holly created. I try to leave him alone when he's pissy, to keep from making it worse, but we're confined to a small space it's not the best.

Also, I've noticed he's been thrashing about and groaning in his sleep. It's not like I'm watching him or anything! I'm not that creepy... I'm just a light sleeper...

At first I thought he was having wet dreams, and boy was that awkward for me... But, after a while I realized it couldn't be that, the sounds he made were defintely not of pleasure, a couple of times he's yell, 'No!' It's been happening since we got here, and honestly I'm a bit worried. I'd tryed to wake him up at one point, but when yelling at him didn't work I went over to shake him awake, but he decked me. He was asleep so I couldn't really be mad, but it still hurt like hell...

At that moment I decided their is seriously something wrong in that boy's life. It may not be my business to find out, but I sure as hell will try to fix whatever it is.

I took Zack's advice and took the football from him before wandering outside to find Jack. The cold air hit my face as I opened door, sending shivers through my body. Even though it was the middle of March, it felt like January, probably because of the altitude...

Thankfully it didn't take long for me to find Jack though, he was leaning up against the porch railing, looking out into the forest. It was quite an ominous sight, the sun was just beginning to set, causing the mountains in the background to look almost like they were on fire. And the woods, the shadows created by the sunset were bouncing off the trees in a way that made them almost look like monsters crawling out at us.

I went over and stood by Jack, so entranced by the sight in front of me, I forgot the reason I had come outside in the first place.

"It really is something, isn't it?" he asked, still focused on the forest.

"Yeah," I agreed, taking a split second to look from the forest and mountains to Jack's face.

He stunning as usual, but there was something else now, something better. His hair was messy from the wind and lack of hot tools, but it  fell over his forehead in a way that would rediculous on anyone else, but he somehow managed to pull off. His already tan skin was glowing under the dusky sunlight, making him look almost golden. And his expression, that was enough to make me melt right there. His eyes were focused on the scene in front of him and him mouth was open slightly, somewhat in a gapping, yet still respectful way. He was simply flawless.

He turned to look at me, effectively catching me staring at him. I awkwardly looked away, trying to hide the redness that was making it's way to my cheeks. I quickly glanced back up at him, to see that he was biting his lip and running his hands through his hair. I looked away again, silently cursing at myself for ruining his good mood.

"I'm going inside," he murmured before walking away.

I sighed loudly before looking back at the beautiful Colorado sunset.
