10 Years Ago, You and I....

It's just another nice and hectic morning in my house, like the other day, my mom will shout my name to wake me up... 

"Lee Hanbi !! Wake up, girl!"

Then we'll have a breakfast together then race to the bus station with her. Oh, I live with my mother in an apartment in Seoul. If you ask me about my father, believe me, I don't know anything about him. Well, it's not like I want to know him either..

"Hanbi, Mom will come home late probably, just eat whatever you want for dinner, okay?" she said after we arrived at my school. I just nodded my head and give her my best smile, she seems to worried but then she smiles, 

"Have a great day, sweetheart! Bye " 

"Don't get too tired of working, Mom because I'll be too busy to study and take care of you if you're sick" I said, she just hit my head lightly and get on to the bus while waving her hand. I wave my hand for a moment and watched the bus that she took disappear from my sight. 

"Hah, Time to start this boring day" I said quietly to myself. 

"Hanbi, Wait!" a familiar sound coming from my back, It must be Kim Haera. 

"Hey, I told you to wait up, fool !" she shouted loudly beside me, 

"Well, I just took a tiny step ahead of you" I answered her with a plain tone. Haera is my best friend in my class, I really like to be her friend despite the fact that she can  talk nonstop for days. Today, too, she is talking about her nagging mother and how her father took her mother's side when they argued this morning, I just listened to her.

"Ouch! " I fell to the ground after a person in front of me run passed me quickly, "Why is everyone so busy in the morning" I said while Haera pulled my hand so I can stand up, "I know, right?" she said with a laugh.

"Hey, are you okay?" said someone behind me, I turn around and see a tall guy with a luxurious uniform, it looks like he is a foreign student. 

"Yes, I am okay, Thanks" I said then started walking faster to the school. 

"Hey, Hanbi! Is he your friend ? " she asked when we arrived at our classroom, 

"I don't think so" I answered. She just nodded and sit behind me, then I sit on my chair and started reading Sherlock. 

A moment later, Ms. An came in to my class with a joyful foot-steps just like the usual, 

"Morning, kids " she said happily, then some of us will replied her or just lightly smile, like what i did now,  "Cheer up, because today we have a handsome exchange student  !" she said while she walks to the door and let that student in. 

"Hi, My name is Daniel from Melbourne, Australia. I'll be here for a week, nice to meet you all" he said in front of my class, and it happened that he is the boy earlier this morning and Ms. An decided to let him sit beside me. He then walk and sit on the chair beside me, I forced a nice smile towards him and he smile back, even though his smile is more sincere. 

Somehow, he feels familiar to me, very familiar.

Then, a day passed away quickly and so the other day. "Hanbi, hey don't pretend like you don't know me! Are you scared because I showed up suddenly and you can't fulfil your promise to me" said Daniel on his first day which makes me confuse and had to put a distance every time i saw him. And, here I am in the park behind my school with Daniel, 

"Hey, are you sure you don't remember?"

"No, I don't know what happened to us back then, now would you please let me go" I said but he don't move from his place.

"Listen, Lee Hanbi, I don't know what happened to you but I can't believe you forget our promise 10 years ago! I waited 10 years, Hanbi. Today is my last day here." He said then let my hand go, "If any chance, you remember, I'll wait you at the airport" he said smiling, leaving me confuse here. 

"Why don't you remind me those promise? I can't remember a thing"

Just then, I remember my mom told me that I have a short memory loss and tend to forget an important event, back then I didn't believe her, but now I think I did. I breathe calmly and tried to remember Daniel and our promise. 

"Dan-oppa, don't go" I startled then opened my eyes, Dan-oppa? Daniel? Like being struck with lightning, those memories came  back to me, I can't see anything, why is it so dark?

"Hanbi, promise me you'll be my girlfriend when I came back to Seoul again" 

"I will, I love you, Daniel"

"Me too, See you soon Lee Hanbi"

I opened my eyes and started to tear up, 

"Hanbi, what happened?" said Haera worried.

"Sorry Haera, but can you tell the teacher I'm sick, I have to skip school" I said then ran as fast as I could leaving her in her confuse state. 

I am going to the airport!

Then, here I am at the airport running to the International departure as fast as I could, 

"Daniel!"

I saw him, he that I loved 10 years ago.

"I am sorry I took a long time, but I'll be your girlfriend!" I shouted in the middle of airport, I must be crazy. 

I saw him walking toward me and touch my face gently, his face was 5 cm apart from my face, "I love you" then he kissed me on my lips. 

"Wait for me, I'll go back and marry you " he said.

"I'll make sure to not forget you this time"
