Chapter 3: Just Talking

KIM'S P.O.V

I stood in the back and watched Jack and his parents interact with my cousins, when suddenly, I felt a hand pulling me away from them. I turned around to find Rydel was the one pulling me away. She took me far enough away that no one could hear us talking.

"So what was that about?" Rydel asked right away.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. I knew exactly what she was talking about but I tried to play it off in hopes she would just drop the subject.

"We may not have seen each other in a while but do you remember how close we were before?" She asked, I just nodded, not knowing where this was going. "You may not remember a lot about me but I can still read you like a book" She said, so this is where it was going.

"Oh" I sighed not knowing what to say.

"Oh, come on Kim what happened to our sisterly bound, we used to tell each other everything" Rydel whined.

"We still have that bound it's just this isn't just a problem only involving me it's also involving Jack" I said.

"Please" she tried. I just stayed silent, thinking about it. I used to tell her a bunch of secrets in a heart beat. I still trust her so why won't I just tell her already. You know what that's what I'm going to do.

"Fine" I said. "Jack loves you guys and when he came over when we were all talking he didn't look happy, and I wanted to know why, so I talked to him, and he said that he thought I was flirting with the guys so he got jealous, then he started talking about how I could have someone better then him, and how he didn't deserve to be with me, so I had to set him straight" I said, taking breaks every now and then so that Rydel could let it sink in.

"Well does he know we are your cousins?" Russel asked.

"He does now, but he is still somewhat jealous of Ratliff" I said.

"Even though I'm dating Ratliff?" She asked stunned.

"Yeah, I tried to tell him that I wouldn't date my cousins boyfriend but, I guess we have to take it one step at a time" I replied.

"Okay, let's get back to everyone" Rydel said before we walked back over, to find that everyone had already gotten helmets and jumpsuits on. Rydel and I quickly got changed, and put helmets on. Rydel got her own car and I hopped in with Jack.

After maybe 2 hours of racing we decided to call it quits.

"Are you guys available latter?" I asked Ross and Rocky.

"Yeah, why" Rocky asked.

"My mom would probably want to see you" I said.

"Oh, we could all take the tour bus over there right now" Ross answered.

"You guys have to check out the tour bus" Rocky said.

"My mom won't be home for like 2 hours or so, so how about we all head over to Jack's house and hang out there for a while, and then we can all get in the tour bus and surprise my mom when she pulls into our driveway" I said.

"Sure" Riker said, joining the conversation.

"So just follow us to my house" Jack said also joining the conversation.

"Alright, where are you guys parked?" Rydel asked.

"About 2 miles away from here" I replied.

"Okay we should be able to find you guys if not I'll just call you" Rydel said.

"Okay" I said before Jack and I started walking toward his car with his parents behind us.

"So do you think your cousins would let us come on tour with them?" Jack asked.

"I don't know you would have to talk to them about that?" I said while jumping on his back. "Why?" I asked.

"Because, how much fun would it be to travel around in a tour bus and see a bunch of concerts, and hangout with a band?" Jack asked, listing all of the pros.

"Well I see your point" I said. "I'll ask them if you could join if you want"

"Wait, what about you" Jack asked confused.

"I don't really want to go" I said honestly. Yes they're my cousins and I love hanging out with them, but I don't know if I could tolerate being on a tour bus for that long.

"Can you at least think about it?" Jack asked, and when I didn't reply he gave me the puppy dog eyes. He knows I can't resist him when he does that.

"Fine I'll think about it but you have to promise that if they do let us come with them you will still spend some time with me and not just my cousins" I said.

"Why wouldn't I spend time with you?" Jack asked.

"Well last time Grace and I hung out with my cousins, Grace completely ditched me, and this was before they were famous" I said.

"Well I'm not like Grace, because one, I'm not shallow, and two I'm not just your best friend I'm also your boyfriend" Jack replied.

"And that's why I like you" I said.

A couple minutes latter we reached Jack's car. I hopped off his back and started walking over to the passenger side of the car until Jack stoped me.

"Kim, your driving" Jack said.

"What?" I asked confused. Jack NEVER, and I mean NEVER lets ANYONE drive any of his cars.

"Your driving" He repeated as if it was nothing.

"But you never let anyone drive your cars" I stated.

"Well I trust you, so here are the keys" Jack said.

"Okay" I said kind of unsure.

I got into the drivers seat while Jack got into the passenger seat.

"Wake me up when we get to my house" Jack's said, while slowly shutting his eyes.

"Okay" I said while pulling out of the parking lot with Jack's parents and my cousins behind me.
