It's quite funny how you squeezed my heart tightly
Like it's just a small slice of sour yellow lemon
Removed the hard seeds, stirred the sugar quite nicely
Finally added cubes of cool ice, and you were done
.
But despite all my protests and all the hard work that you did
And the glass of delicious lemonade on your hand awaits
You didn't wish to indulge on what you have created
To gladly quench your thirst, heat, and sweat away
.
And instead you think of even worse options to start
Never once thinking of your cruel decisions harder
And you sell what remains of my already-crushed heart
To another stranger for a quarter.
