We were close, our faces inches apart. He reached up his hand to brush it along my burning cheeks.
"Don't be afraid." He whispered cupping the curve of my back.
"I'm not." I said, my breathe picking up as his face got closer and closer to mine.
But I am afraid, I'm afriad that he's going to walk through the door and see us. I ignore the feeling at the bottom of my stomach.
"Prove it," He said his lips smirking as they mocked me. "Kiss me, right now."
"I can't, you know that." My voice just above a whisper.
"Because you're afraid." His hand dropping lower and lower. Tingles errupted through my body.
"Fine." I said leaning forward, our lips just about to touch when the door flew open.I gasped and pushed away.
"I knew this would happen." He mumbled slamming the door.
"No!" I said as he came closer and closer, his eyes furious. I looked around for something my eyes landing on Noah, the boy I was just about to kiss.
"Help." I said meekly. He just stood there, watching, a smile was the only thing I saw before I was thrown to the ground.

My head was pounding again when I woke up the sun shining through my window. I was laying in another puddle of sweat. These dreams wouldn't go away, they all ended the same, with my father punishing me. As if it wasn't enough when it was just my father, but now Noah was in them?! I decided to push it from my mind and walk down stairs to grab a cup of coffee. My aunt sat reading the paper when she looked up and saw me her eyes got big.
"Did you sleep okay?" She asked.
"Yes." I lied.
"Veronica, you have been coming down here with bags under your eyes." My aunt said.
"I know, I've just had a little trouble falling asleep." I said weakly grabbing a cup for my coffee.
"Maybe you should see a doctor." She said.
"No, really Liz, I don't need a doctor." I said pouring my coffee.
She looked at me for a moment. I really didn't want to go see a doctor. I know I have issues obviously, but really the only thing a doctor could do was give me some medication, and that would probably only make me worse, my mom was on a lot of medications and look what that did for her, nothing.
"Okay." She sighed. I gave her a smile and went back up to my room to shower. I sat on my bed for a moment thinking of what to do. I looked out my window onto Noah's backyard. The water from his pool was still. So this is what my life is going to become. It's July so far I have done nothing with my life. My feelings for Noah were becoming strong I knew that. It was terrifying. The feeling of love and fear feel exactly the same. I wanted to see him. I didn't want to look like a stalker or anything, but I craved his company. I decided that for once I was going to go for what I want. I was going to go straight up to Noah the next time I saw him and I was going to kiss him.
"I'm heading out." I said walking through the door my body tingling for what I was about to do.
"Be back by supper." Was all she said.
I started to regret my decision as I walked over to his drive way. His car was parked out front. I took a deep breathe. You can do this Veronica, for once in your life don't be a wuss.
I knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. Noah opened it in just a pair of sweat pants and no shirt. The site of his body was enough to make my mouth water. Stop Veronica. Take it slow. His hair was tousled like he had been sleeping, then it hit me. It was only 8 o'clock.
