The Order's Temple

Jesse's PoV:
Lukas looked into my eyes.

It felt so good to finally show how much I cared.

I laughed and get to my feet.

"We should go back" I say as I hold my arm.

"Um...yeah. Let's go." He said smiling and rubbing the back of his neck.

Lukas's PoV:
Obviously I was happy that she finally opened up but I thought that I pushed her into it.

I didn't want her being pressured, although I guess she would let me know if she didn't want to kiss me.

We reached the hut and we flopped to the floor with exhaustion.

I felt so much more at ease, knowing how she really felt. I fell asleep much easier this time.

Jesse's PoV:
Olivia woke me and she looked concerned about my arm but didn't ask.

"We have an adventure to go on!" Axel exclaims.

I glance over at Lukas and smile.

He smiles back.

We started to take down the hut but I didn't help much as my arm was still stinging with pain.

I looked at Lukas and squinted; he stumbled and gasped for air.

"You okay?" I ask worriedly.

"I'm fine" he insists.

We finished taking the hut down and started walking.

"I think we have to go this way" I say holding up the amulet.

We kept walking and all the time I noticed how Lukas just didn't look right.

I pulled him to the back of the group.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I say concerned.

"Honestly, I am fine" he says certainly.

I was about to ask him something but Olivia cuts me off.

"Look!" She shouts.

"Is this it?" Axel says disappointedly as he looks at the ruins of an old temple.

I climb down the vines towards it.

"Be careful, Jesse" Lukas says climbing down after me.

"Well? Is this it, Jesse?" Olivia says looking around.

I don't say anything as I hold the amulet up to the stained glass window above the entrance.

"Check it out. It's the same" I say as the others gather around.

"Well, let's go!" I say as I slip the amulet into my pocket and run through the entrance.

"Woah." We all say as we stop and stare at the architecture in astonishment.

I run up to a huge map on a wall while the others look around.

This must pinpoint where the members of the order are at all times.

But how do I turn it on?

I look around and notice a few levers. I walk towards them and flick them on and 2 beams of light shone on the map.

I run to the map in astonishment.

"Red and green...red and green." Olivia says scratching her head.

"Ellegaard and Magnus!" I exclaim in realisation.

"Well, now what?" Axel questions.

"We go get ellegaard, of course." Olivia exclaims.

"Um, how about no. We have to get Magnus." Axel protests.

"Well, Jesse?" Olivia looks at me for an answer.

I look at Lukas but he looks at the ground. I didn't care what the others were arguing about I just couldn't bare to see Lukas in that state.

"Um...ellegaard. Let's go get ellegard." I quickly decide.

"Let's go then, Jesse." Olivia suggests.

"Axel can you stay here - in case Petra comes back." I order.

"And...Lukas? What do you want to do?" I ask sympathetically.

He shrugged and gazed at me with his blue eyes.

I stopped and stared because I just saw all of the pain filling his eyes.

"Be careful, Jesse" he manages to mutter.

"I will." I say trying to crack a smile.

Olivia pulled my hand making me slowly walk backward behind her.

I just couldn't help feeling for Lukas. He stared at me as I walked away.

I'll be okay.

He saw me being tugged away by Olivia and he went to reach after me but stopped and folded his arms, trying to stop the tears falling.

Goodbye, Lukas.

Lukas's PoV:

Goodbye, Jesse.
