Jesses PoV:

We had been walking a while until we heard the unmistakeable roars of the wither storm.

I gulped and i felt lukas looking at me nervously.

We briefly stopped but I continued on and the rest of them followed.

"Before we do this, I want you to have my armour." Ellegaard said behind me.

Magnus butted in, "no, please, take mine."

"Thank you. But you'll need it. Im fine." I said passing up their offer.

We were silent until the trees in front of us began up-rooting and their branches cracked and snapped.

I got the ingredients for the formidi bomb and breathed out.

"Jesse...you don't have to do this." Lukas said stepping forward and clutching my arm.

I looked at his hand on my arm and then at him. "But I do." I simply said walking toward the wither storm.

The ground shuffled beneath me and I found myself face to face with the beast.

I went to charge but a bright light caused me to shield my eyes.

"You fool." A low voice beckoned

"Herobrine." I muttered.

"I offered you a better life. You didn't accept. Now you will pay." He said lowering his brow.

He stepped forward making me cower back slightly.

I braced but the delay made me look up.

Herobrine was caught in a tractor beam.

"Do something fools" he said trying to get out the line of the tractor beam.

He turned to the wither storm and cast a beam of light that made the wither turn allowing Herobrine to break free.

They battled for a while unaware of me charging underneath them.

The rest went to make distractions for the endermen that covered the forest floor like a carpet.

I looked up at Herobrine who threw everything at the wither storm.

I turned back but skidded to a halt when a tractor beam blocked my path.

I tried to claw at the ground but it was to sting and I was getting closer and closer to the wither

"Now Jesse! You have to do it now!" I heard soren from the forest floor yell.

Lukas butted in and screamed, "are you crazy? She will die!"

His words echoed in my head but I started putting the ingredients together.

My hands were shaking and I nearly dropped the ingredients but I found the last ingredient resting in my hands.

This was it.

One more push.

With a gasp I put the last ingredient together and braced.

There was a flash of light and I found myself so disorientated.

Pain rushed through all of my body but it reassured me that I had served my purpose.

A splitting crack shot through my back and everything went black.

Lukas's PoV:

The light caused me to wince but the last thing I saw was Jesse.

My heart broke as I cried out her name but I knew it was too late

I knew that this was what she wanted...what she expected but I couldn't help but feel pain for myself.

When the light faded back to day, I took the time to look at the devastation.

People were scattered in the rubble and gasping for air.

I look for only one body though.

I ran out into the clearing.

"Jesse!"

"Jesse, where are you?"

I repeatedly called out in desperation.

I turned around in one last effort to find her.

I saw her.

I saw her lifeless body.

"Jesse..." I whispered through the tears.

I ran to her side and knelt beside her, brushing the hair out of her face.

"Can you hear me?"

"Jesse..."

"Please, Jesse, don't do this to me..."

My tears poured down my face.

She coughed and wheezed.

"Jesse?" I said hopefully.

"Lukas..." She muttered.

"Oh Jesse..." I said with a fake smile.

"I'm so sorry, Jesse."

"I love you..." I said through the pain.

"I love you too Lukas..." She said smiling.

She started to close her eyes.

"No, Jesse, stay with me...please."

"Goodbye lukas..." She said still smiling.

"No..." I whispered.

"I will always love you...don't forget that." She said putting her hand on my face.

"You can't go...you're all that I've ever loved..."

"You will never be alone..." She said quietly

I closed my eyes and nuzzled her hand.

"I will always love you...Jesse" I smiled.

She closed her eyes and I broke down onto my hands.

I heard the others behind me sobbing quietly.

Jesses PoV:

My eyes grew heavy with pain.

Goodbye my love.

Lukas's pov:

Be at peace...

Say hi to Reuben from me.

Goodbye, Jesse.

Goodbye my love.
