Hold On

The Wither

Jesse's PoV:
I lean in as our lips nearly touch.

Suddenly, a huge crowd of people separate me and lukas as they all ran towards the hall and lined up to go in.

I look at Lukas but quickly glance back at the floor as I realised what we nearly did.

"Ahem... Well let's make this slime block I guess" Lukas says rubbing the back of his neck and turning redder than a rose.

I find a crafting table and quickly bind everything together. I then run to the back of the chicken dispenser and find the best spot to place the block. I look around, trying to find something to jump off and I spot a stall with a ladder leading to the top of it. I hastily climb up the ladder and prepare the run up to the slime block. Nervously, I jump off the stall and bouncing off the slime block as I equip my pick axe. I swing my pick axe; shattering the glass and leaving the chickens to pour out.

Everyone had already gone in the hall now and the show had started so we shooed all of the chickens towards the guard as he shrieked and scampered off.

We ran up the stairs and bust through the door. Some people looked at us but most were to engrossed in Gabriel's speech.

"I bet he went through that door" I say as I point to a creaky door that was wedged open.

We snook past the crowd and crept through the the door.

"Now that was cool" axel exclaims.

"Shhh" Olivia shushes axel.

"Look around and see if you can find any clues" I say as I flick through some dusty books that were leaning on each other on the shelf.

As I looked through an endless amount of books I notice a lever on the wall. I walk towards the lever, squinting my eyes with uncertainty.

"Woah!" I hear axel shout on my right. "What?" I say angrily as he breaks my concentration. "This potion is glowing!" "Take it - if you want" I say not really caring as axel snatches the potion, replacing it with a normal potion.

I continue walking toward the lever and I nervously reach out to pull it. I hear a click and the wall separated into 2 revealing everyone's worst nightmare.

A wither?

"It can't be..." I say backing away making all of the others turn in horror.

"A...wither?" Lukas says in shock.

Petra walks up to it. "That's why he wanted my wither skull!" She says as she realises her mistake and instantly regretting it.

"What's that in the middle though?" I say reaching out my hand. I lean towards it as I squint my eyes. The tip of my finger touches the mysterious block an it sparks causing me to jump back as my finger burned red.

Lukas looked at me concerned but I didn't want the attention so I shrugged it off and turned to Olivia in hope that she would know what it was.

"I've seen it in books now and then but never in real life" she says astonished with one arm crossed and the other propped under her chin as she studied the object.

"Well, what is it" axel questions.

"I believe it is called a command block." She says putting both hands on her hips.
