Hold On

The Adventure For Soren.

Jesse's PoV:

I was so torn with feelings.

I didn't know whether to sympathise or criticise.

I just walked ahead holding my arm with Olivia and ellegaard as we headed back to the temple.

"So, ellegaard, we haven't really been introduced yet" Olivia started.

"This is Lukas, Jesse and I'm Olivia. It's a pleasure to meet you." She says in awe at ellegaard.

"It's nice to meet you all and I know that you're trying to reunite the order but why and how did all of this even start? I mean I have never seen a wither like that." Ellegaard exclaims.

"Yeah, well one of the 'members' has summoned that thing and now we are on a quest to stop it." Olivia says.

"Who exactly is this specific...member?" Ellegaard reluctantly asks.

"Ivor. I believe that is his name." I say abruptly.

"Ivor? Oh lord. We all thought that something was wrong with him." Ellegaard remembers.

"Well - if this is the case - we've no time to loose." Ellegaard says breaking into a run.

Lukas's PoV:

I followed timidly behind after what I had done.

I walked further behind and thought about what had happened.

But everything I said was true.

I have loved and I have lost but I can't seem to get Jesse to sympathise with me in the same way that I do with her.

We ran back to the temple to find axel waiting with a green suited man.

"Magnus?" Ellegaard says with a grin.

"Elle!" He shouts back as they run up to eachother with open arms.

"Where have you been all of this time?" Ellegaard says looking up into Magnus's eyes.

"I've always been in my home town. I thought you knew and you just didn't want to see me." He says with a confused look.

"I've searched and searched for you ever since we parted. Oh I'm so glad I've found you." She says hugging him tightly.

I look at Jesse to see if she was looking back.

She was.

I smiled but she squinted her eyes and looked away.

Jesse's PoV:

Magnus and ellegaard reminded me of what I used to have but I tried not to think about it.

I snapped out of my trance and shifted my focus to a new beam of light on the map.

"Yellow?" Ellegaard says confused.

"Is that... Soren?" Magnus says looking down at ellegaard.

"But it can't be. He's been gone for years maybe even decades." Ellegaard replies.

Another beam of light appears suddenly.

"Blue?" Olivia says.

"No... We have to leave now." Ellegaard says.

"Why?" Me, Lukas, Axel and Olivia say in synchronisation.

"Don't you see? It's Ivor." Magnus exclaims.

"If we need to get to Soren, we have to do it now; before Ivor get there before us." Ellegaard says running out of the temple.

Lukas grabs the amulet but I walk up and snatch it from him.

He looks at me with anger but I just ignore him.

"Really?" He says.

"What?" I say frustratedly.

"You really think this is the right way to go about our situation." He replies.

"We don't have a 'situation', Lukas. In fact, I don't think we have anything now." I say agitated.

"But you don't understand, Jesse-" I cut him off.

"Oh don't worry, I understand perfectly. You don't think, Lukas." I snap.

"Well, maybe you're right. But, despite everything, it doesn't change how I love you, Jesse. You have no idea how much you have changed my life. You showed me a path that I never thought I would take. You have to know that your frustration towards me is expected after how I treated you but I will never think of you any other way then I do now. I love you Jesse; no matter what you say." He replies making me well up.

"I do understand but... I can't." I say firmly.

I walk away from the one chance I had to redeem our relationship.

He reached out but I didn't hold on.

But I can't go back now.

What is important is saving this god forsaken world that I live in.

Or have to live in.

Anyway, what other choice do I have?
