The story

Chapter 2

Biology is soon to end as are three more periods. Now it's Chemistry and then the try-outs. This day really is flowing by.
The bell rings inviting us in the classroom. Ariel and I are taking this class together as well. Actually we take almost every class together.
She takes a seat right beside. Grayson is in this class too but he's late. He's never late. That's weird. If he doesn't show soon enough Smith(the chemistry teacher) won't let him in.
But then he didn't show up at all. That is so unlike him. Did he felt sick? He seemed alright last time we spoke. The try-outs for team captain are in 10 minutes, I want him there. I have no more time to waste, I must get myself ready. God I'm so nervous. I know that I can do this but I still get anxious. I really want to be a captain on my senior year. It will be good for my scholarship. Coach said it's always a plus.
There's no more time to waste so I quickly run in the locker rooms, get my equipment and make my way towards the field. Ariel is waiting just outside the locker rooms which really surprises me.

-Hey champ!
-Hey! What are you doing here?
-Well I thought maybe I'd give my boy a little 'good luck' kiss before he starts. -Go ahead then.

She kisses me for a while. That eases the stress build up in my stomach and I'm now more loose.

-Go get them tiger.

She says smiling. Stress build up?  What is that?

Coach makes us take some rounds to warm up. Shortly after I see Ariel and Grayson take their seats. They both wave at me smiling. I smile back but now I have to concentrate on the try-outs.
Coach has programmed all the candidate captains a bunch of exercises so that he can judge if we are capable enough to be a captain.
A while later I'm have finished with all the exercises and I think I did great.
I make my way to the locker rooms to take a shower. Ari is waiting outside the locker rooms just like before. She immediately puts her hands around my neck. I place a small kiss on her lips.

-You did great out there!
-Thank you honey. It's because I have a great support system always there.
-Look at you being all cute.
She says and she giggles.
-I love you Ariel.
-I love you too babe.

I kiss her soft lips again.

-I don't mean to interrupt but I want to congratulate my brother for his smashing performance.
Says Gray while he is getting closer.
-Thank you Gray. I really appreciate it. -It's the truth, you really did great out there.
-I really would have failed if it weren't for you two.
-That's a lie and you know it, stop being modest babe.
Ariel says.
-Anyway. Where were you during chemistry?
I ask my brother.
-I... em... was busy...
-You were busy?
-Yeah....
Grayson is scratching the back of his head nervously. Did he...
-Is it a girl?
Ariel asks seeming very excited.
-Well...  yeah?
Grayson responds with an awkward smile.
-Gray! Why didn't you tell us?! This is exciting news! We should go out the three of us and learn more about that. We are dying to know!
-Easy Ari. That's enough questions for one day. But she is right, Gray. You can tell us everything.
-I know guys but it's the start and...  I'm afraid that if I talk about it...  something will go terribly wrong... I don't know... I just really like her.
-Okay, whenever you are ready bro.
-Thank you guys.
-Ethan has to take a shower now, let's go Gray so he can go do his thing.
-Okay let's go, see you later bro.
-See ya guys.

I get inside the locker rooms and head immediately into the showers. My brother has a girl...  wow!
