I stood in by front the door for a few minutes just trying to get myself together. There was no point in denying that I was excited. I was at her house. Not that being here is going to make any difference. She already made things very clear.
-Flashback-
"First, we are working at my house nowhere else."
"Second, we are not friends and we will never be friends, so aside from the music assignment we have nothing to talk about."
"Last and the most important of them all, there will be no physical contact between you and me. You will not touch me under any circumstances. Meaning no handshakes, no hugs, no pats on the back, nothing at all!"
-End Flashback-
"We will never be friends." With that phrase in mind I inhaled and exhaled a few times before ringing the doorbell. A middle aged female with long black hair and tan skin opened the door. She had a big smile on her face."At least someone is friendly here." I thought.
"I didn't quite hear you honey, did you say something?" the smiling lady asked. Did I say that out loud? Jeez.
"Yes ma'am. I'm here to do homework with Danielle..."
"Yes, yes she is expecting you. You can follow me, she is in her bedroom." She stood by the door waiting for me to come in.
My first impression of the house was WOW! If the outside was incredible the inside was like something out of a magazine or a movie. The floor was fuc*ing marble. There were a few paintings on the walls. Paintings I'm pretty sure were worth an arm and a leg.The walls were a cream beige color and the stairs were like a letter S shape. It made me feel like I was in some kind of museum.
I was so distracted taking in all the surroundings that I had to run to catched up to the lady that was leading the way to what I presume was Danielle's room. We went up the stairs. At the top the hallway splitted two ways. You could either go right or left. We went to the left. We passed a few doors before we stopped at her room.
The lady knocked a couple of times, not waiting for an answer, she just walked in the room. I waited outside because I didn't if I was yet welcome. Besides I didn't know if she was changing clothes or naked or something.
"Your friend is here Lolly." I heard the lady say. Lolly? I guess that's some kind of nickname.
"He is my classmate Martha, not my friend! Where is he?" Danielle asked the lady, Martha? I think that was her name.
Martha waved her hand at me "Come in sweetheart."
Danielle's room wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be decorated with the Disney princess theme. That was a bit of a stretch even for Danielle. But I was expecting at least all pink like pepto. But no, her room was all white. Sterile like white. The first thing that catched my attention was the wall behind her bed headboard. The word "Breathe" was written in black fancy calligraphy. It standed out due to everything else being colorless.
There were some big teddy bears on top of the huge bed all white as well. On the right side of the room was a white grand piano. I was beautiful. The musician in me wanted desperately to play it.
I tried to absorbed as much as I could. A room can say a lot about a person, and I wanted to know everything.
I guessed I got lost there for a few because When I looked to the left Martha and Danielle were looking at me with amused faces.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Martha asked me.
"Indeed ma'am, it's really beautiful!" I was going to say, like the owner, but I wasn't going to pushed my luck with the princess. Not today.
