Let's talk: Chapter 6

"Ok" I say, "I have to tell you guys something" I tell Jen and Tess as we walk to the food court.
" You can tell us anything Maddie, you don't have to worry" Jen said.
"Well if you insist, something happened at PINK".
"Omg, what??" Tess asked.
"Well I don't know if you guys know him, but Caleb Williams walked into my freaking change room!"
"What the heck, you know Caleb Williams?" Tessa asked.
"Um... Yeah".
"For real! Madelyn he's dating my cousin!" Tessa said.
"What? Really, wait, hold on, is your cousin..."
"Alison Johnson!" Me and Tess say at the same time.
"Well, I don't know if she's ever told you about me, but I'm her ex best friend, I'm also Caleb Williams ex girlfriend."
"No way! Neither him or her, have told me about you." Tess says.
"Well, that makes sense, you see, about a year ago, I found out that Caleb was cheating on me with Alison, before that, me and Alison were best friends, but when she started sleeping with the whole school, I kinda left her, since I didn't want to be influenced negatively by her, since she was upset, she took revenge on me by, starting to sleep and go out on dates with Caleb, to make me mad, of course I didn't find out until, I went to his locker to ask him to prom, but there it was, right in front of me, the two of them, sucking each other's faces. As soon as I saw this, I ran, since it was the end of the day and the dismissal bell had rung, I left, to go talk to my mom, but what did I come home to find, my mom with her dad, doing, it."
" Oh my god, Maddie, I'm so sorry," Jennifer and Tessa say.
"Well, I guess this is explains why Alison's parents split up, they never told us why and when we asked the got mad."
"No way! I didn't know they split up!" I say.
"Well they did, now, we should get going it's like 5pm, Maddie, I'm gonna drop you of first, kay?" Tessa asks.
"Okay." I reply.
"Bye Maddie!" Tess and Jen reply.
"Bye guys, see you tomorrow!"
The next day
"Hey Maddie" Tess says, as she walks up to me, wearing some basic leggings and a maroon plaid shirt.
"Did you remember your swim suit?" I ask.
"Yep. You?" I nod in reply.
"Where's Jennifer?" I ask with curiosity.
"She said she'd meet us there."
In the change room
As I finish getting dressed I meet Jennifer and Tessa outside. Tessa wearing halter one piece that has the colour of a black orchid, that hugged all her curves but still wasn't gonna fall of.

While Jennifer was sporting a zip up surfer swim suit that was a cream colour in the centre but had black outlines.

"Ok guys, I'm ready."
We walk over to the dock and as Jennifer, Tessa and I start to head over to the coach, I notice the most beautiful creature in all of the lands. My crush. Drum roll please ladies and gentlemen. Mike Hastings. There he was standing in a navy blue pair on trunks, I felt like dying.
"All right girls and boys, pick a partner and I will give you the following instructions in a moment." Coach says.
"Before I go and ask Jennifer or Tessa if they want to be my partner, they run over to find someone else. Of course they would try to get me with Mike.
"Hey, want to be my partner?" Mike asks me.
"Su-sure." I say.
"Okay who wants to go first?" Coach asks.
"Us!" I say.
"Okay, Madelyn you get in this lane, Mike, you get in this lane."
As we get in the lane coach counts us off, 1,2,3! Mike blasts of, I remember Tessa telling me he was apart of every sports team except swimming, I'm guessing he isn't that great at it by the way I'm judging his poor front crawl. I'm gonna beat this guy.
I make it to the end of the pool, while Mike is still half way, I've mastered the art of not starting super fast so I can save energy.
"Madelyn, congratulations! You've beaten the time record!" Coach tells me as Tess and Jen walk up to congratulate me, while Mike is still swimming.
"Would you like to join our school swim team?" Coach asks.
"If you do, we would be able to spend a lot more time together!" Jen tells me.
"Yeah, okay!" I e never been the athletic type, but why not do this, just for fun.
Afterwards
I change into my normal clothes, and wait for Tess and Jen out front since we have the next class together.
"Hey, good job." I hear someone say behind me.
"Oh thanks!" I say realizing it was Mike. Then he walks of without saying anything else, personally, I think he's doing this because he's mad he didn't win. Next I notice that Jen and Tess are motioning me to go say something, as I start to walk towards him, I feel a gentle tug at my shoulder.
"Don't worry about him, he's a sore loser." A feminine voice says behind me. I turn around and see that it was the girl from the other day who was talking to Mike. She had her brunette chest length hair dried and some curls were showing. She had on mom jeans, but managed to make them look good on her petite figure, wearing a black tang top with white polka dots and very natural makeup.
"My name's Bella Hastings, I'm Mike's sister. He's a couple months older than me."
"I'm Madelyn Jones." I reply, holding my hand out to shake, she takes it and asks,
"So, what's your next class, I'm guessing this is your first year here huh?"
"Um, yeah, but this is my senior year, I have chemistry with Mr. Walker?"
"Ooh we have next class together, I hope he assigns us to be next to each other." She says.
"Yeah." I say with a bright smile. "I hope so too."
"Well come one then what are you waiting for? Let's go, or we're going to be late!"
Then I follow Bella, sorry, my new friend, to Mr. Walker's class.
