he wasn't at school
and i silently worry,
palms under chin.

staring at front
looking at your seat
left side, empty, lifeless.

are you okay?
i thought with a
sigh.

i miss you,
but you're blind
enough to see.

i can't risk you
anymore pain than
what you're enduring.

you came by my house,
still wearing your fake of
a smile.
"can i come inside?"
"sure,"
i let my feelings have
its way again

you greeted my mom, who
was about to leave for work.
"you two take care while i'm out.
there's leftovers and a pint of vanilla
ice cream at the freezer."
calling out farewells, we descended to my room. appa's in scotland, taking care of his dairy factory. joohyun oppa's in seoul, taking his steps on being an idol. chaejin unnie's working at a hospital in busan.

slumping on my bed,
arms behind your head.
"what time will they come home?"
you ask, looking at my pastel ceiling
"around 8pm. why?"
"can i stay for the night, rae?"
looking back at you, i was suddenly nervous. anxious even, that you called me by my name. have you been crying lately?
"i'm sure eomma won't mind."
i say and i became quiet when i saw a tear slide down your cheek

"i don't know why i'm tearing up. but maybe it's the fact that jiyeo won't know that i like her so much. and i endure the pain whenever she's taehyung." you say after a sob.

i thought you looked crazy smiling while crying. i sat at the floor, staring at  the door while i listened to you talk. "stop blinding yourself with a lie and start seeing the truth that's in front of you." i reply, blowing a strand of hair out of my face.

"does she even like him, rae?"
"very much."
"well, the way i see it. she doesn't, maybe she treats her like a brother. don't ya think?"
i sigh, unable to control myself. "you pabo. are you that dumb?"

"she's in love with him but you're a coward to accept that."

so to clear things out,

she; is jiyeo. the girl that's in love with taehyung but is oblivious to our second main character's love, who's under "he".

he; who's name is still unknown. basically someone who's hopelessly in love with jiyeo ever since they were childhood friends. oblivious to rae's feelings. he's name will be introduced soon

rae, is i. who basically sees the tension on her friends, especially between "he" and jiyeo. but since she wants "he" to be happy, she sets her feelings aside and comforts "he" in his unrequited love with jiyeo.
