Chapter 16

(Maggie's POV): John was definitely the best thing that happened to me in this last five years. I couldn't remember the last time I've been this happy.

We went to the beach to find George, Martha and Jane sitting on the sand.

"Where's Rose?" I asked.

"She's with Paul, they went for a walk" George said.

"Rose and Paul?" I asked surprised.

"Yep" George replied.

"But I thought Paul liked Maggie!" said a confused John

"No, he likes Rose. You didn't see them flirting last night because you were too busy fucking" Jane said, playing with the sand.

I blushed lightly. John glanced furiously at her. I squeezed his hand, he didn't have to worry, Jane doesn't know was she says.

"Wow" I sat at Martha's side. John sat next to me and hugged me.

"I know right!" Martha said. "'I am Rosie, love is bullshit, all I want is to travel the world blah blah blah' " she said mocking Rose.

We all laughed.

I never thought this could happen. Rose is in love!

"Well, he's a rocker, she couldn't resist right?" I said.

"But you can't resist a rocker either" John said. I laughed.

He kissed my ear and made his way down to my neck.

I giggled a little, it tickled.

George got up.

"I'm going to eat something" he said. He always looked uncomfortable when I was around.

It was strange.

Some minutes later Paul and Rose came back, hand in hand.

"Good morning, lovebirds" John said teasingly.

Rose blushed and I winked at her.

They sat next to me and John. Paul kissed her. 

It was strange seeing my best friend kissing someone, I mean, there were a lot of boys who asked her out but she was always like 'I am an independent woman, I don't need any guy telling me what to do'.

Finally she said yes to someone.

"Tomorrow is Sunday" said John, after a few minutes.

"So what?" I asked, running my fingers up and down his arm.

"I promissed Julia I was going to visit her"

"Julia?"

"My mother"

"Oh"

"I think I better go back to Liverpool today" he  said sadly, then he looked at me "come with me! Really, you will love Julia! And I think it's time for you to know my family, Maggie, huh" John said.

"That's cute. No one's ever said that to me" said Jane. We pretended we didn't hear that.

But that was really cute. John wanted me to know his mother!

"Okay" I replied. He smiled and kissed my cheek.

i know it seems a bit boring but its important

like, why george is acting so weird?

what's going to happen at Julia's house?

will thins things prejudicate John's and Maggie's relationship?
