(John's POV): the morning was a drag. Finally it was the lunch time. Maggie was just across the room, sitting with some girls. Our eyes met and I smirked. She smiled, looking a bit confused. I walked right up to her table and jumped on the top of it. Some girls screamed, Maggie didn't took her eyes of me. She was curious.
"May I have your attention please?" I asked loudly to everyone. No one listened. "CAN YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP" I screamed. Silence, finally. "Thank you very much" I said politely and took a bowl. Maggie giggled. Good.
I kneel down and rummage in my pocket for the rose. Everyone was in silence, curious. I showed Maggie the rose. The flower was a little black now but it was still beautiful.
"Maggie, will you go on a date with me?" I asked.
Some people gasped, others whispered things in their friend's ear. I ignored them. My attention was all focused in one person. Maggie.
At first she blushed laughing, then she took the rose and smelled it.
"Okay" she replied quietly.
I felt an energy coming from my feet to the top of my head. She said yes! I couldn't believe it!
I stood there, kneeled on her table looking at her. She was looking at me too. Then a girl said:
"Excuse me. You are stepping on my food"
"Oh sorry love" I said and jumped to the floor. "Wait for me at the gate" I said, now for Maggie. She nodded, still holding the flower close to her perfect nose. I smiled and walked away.
I sat on the table with the boys. They were all shocked.
"I can't believe she said yes" George said.
"It was luck" Paul muttered. He was jealous. Ha ha.
I liked Paul, don't get me wrong. We loved each other. A brotherly love, of course. But we had this thing with birds. Who got more girls was the best. And I was wining.
"Yeah yeah, I know. But where you think I should take her? My place? A motel?" I asked, whispering.
"What about a diner!?" George said "You need to take things slow man"
"Yeah that's a good idea too" I said.
I looked at Maggie, she was looking at me but looked away quickly. I smiled to myself.
