-the day of the angel and reaper academy graduation-
After that depressing flashback, I remembered that today would begin the festivities where angels come up here to enjoy some pleasant music and divine meals. Now before you continue reading my private business like the snoopy people you are, this ceremony is one of the rare occasions angels and reapers socialize civily amongst each other. Steve was given a chance to become an angel himself. He is even enlisting in additional study and training to be a seraphim. However, he misses Death's embrace, it is seen evidently in his soul. The host has been kind to him. After all during the trial Death had passed his affections off as some sort of twisted joke. Also as you could guess reapers and angels do not hate each other. In fact I have married angels to reapers before, its just the work kind of conflicts. They do argue, but not to cause Armageddon. Only God knows that...well so do I in all honesty....I digress. I wander through my closet lost in a sea of suits and various wardrobes from different time periods.
Let's see here what outfit can I wear that will attract a lovely angel.... I thought wandering down the timeline closet of mine, going further and further dowm memory lane. Then I stopped at the time some of you may still hear of it today, but there was this really nice outfit from the medieval times that I just had to wear. I tried it on but it seemed a little tight and not in the best of places. I snapped my fingers to make the wardrobe fit better, I then looked in the mirror shaking my head. I look like a wannabe noble in this... I like the color... but it needs a major modern twist. I thought to myself as I wondered how this outfit could ever hope to be modern. Then it clicked. I took the old outfit and went to my magic clothes machine that I invented for the sole purpose of making fashionable clothing to look presentable in any and every timeline.
" Good day sir! How may I be of service to you?" The machine greeted me.
"Very good Claude, today is the big day!" I replied excitedly.
"You're going to get a girlfriend?!" Claude said just to roast me.
My machine has the knack for sass sometimes but hey when you need some fashion advice this machine does the trick well. I should know I built him.
"Very funny Claude, no the other big day." I told him.
"Ah yes, the suit you will need for the ceremony and party. Have any eyes on an Angel to date? Hmm... oh heavens all the lady Angels want to know who you are going to fall for. In all seriousness sir we even have you in the Heavenly Times and the magazine Heaven Illustrated. The girls will absolutely adore you... I see you have picked a classic outfit sir. Would you like me to give it the usual tune up? " Claude asked after a mouthful.
" Just because I starred on the Angel version of Sports Illustrated, does not mean that every female angel is into me Claude. I appreciate your encouragement but after the last time... I don't think I am ready for the hunt, and yes Claude your tune ups have not failed me a single ceremony." I replied back.
"Right away sir." He replies back taking my medieval outfit taking snapshots of it, then applying the color scheme to a modern day prince suit using magic, then sewing heaven's coat of arms as if it were a brand name business suit with a company logo.
"You know that angel Hailey is nice sir, or ooo how about Claudia! Claudia seems perfect for you sir! I heard she is quite the dream to be with. By the way sir it had come to my attention that you invited Death. Are you sure it is wise? Hades is there too and she is, obsessed over him. It could be dangerous if she gets jealous." He said nervously.
I knew death for a long time and I know what happens to girls she gets jealous of. I shudder at the flashbacks when she dated Gale... too many humans died because of Gale's flirty attitude. Let's just say she turned their wombs into art by charming a boy later known in history as Jack the Ripper.
" I assure you everyone will be safe Claude, after all Hades and I talked, he is still single. Even though I think his intern Clarice is quite fond of Hades. Which could pose a problem as Clarice is quite the looker in the underworld one almost comparible to Shinra. Hades likes pretty girls but he also likes intelligence and thoughtfulness. Without those a girl is not wothy in his eyes." I replied.
"Ah yes 'intelligence', 'thoughtfulness', would these happen to translate to bust and bum sir? Hades has been quite perverted." Claude asked.
"Claude you are a funny gentleman, I know he is but then again it is in his nature I am not the one who wished for him without specifics. Is the suit done?" I asked.
"Yes sir! I made that relic into something just adorable. Initializing 3-D projection..."Claude statted.
The hologram was a picture of me in a black suit with a crimson tie and a white flower pinned to my suit and the coat of arms. I put my hand on the hologram where it read wings extend, and of course Claude inner sense of fabulous kicked in.
"Since it's an affair of both light and dark I figured go symbolic, this is your 5000th ceremony make it a special one. You will note when you spread your wings they will take the appearance of the colors of the yin-yang symbol one wing white with black on the arc's center and the other just a flip of that. Is that add on acceptable sir?" Claude asked intently waiting to hear my opinion.
"Hmmmm.... I like it. A good way to make an entrance, can that effect be turned off?" I asked.
" It is able to do that at your command sir." He answered.
"Alright let's do it. Now of course my trusty cyber friend we need all hands on deck. Send a message to our announcer, let the festivities begin." I said as Claude scanned me materializing my clothes on my body.
"Go get them sir! and possibly a girlfriend..."He muttered.
"Beg your pardon Claude?" I asked.
"Oh nothing sir! Go make the crowd go wild." He replied.
"Even though that intern of hers is quite the looker, it's beyond me why he isn't choosing her but I am just a computer." Claude mutters again.
Here we go... 5000 years of angels and reapers in harmony. Ready or not... I cast a spell to decorate heaven and set up the tables according to seating preferences, and I flew to the podium to welcome the visitors with the trinity at my side. Here they come.
