Day off

Toby's POV:

We walk into the garage and nobody's there. Cabe isn't there. Paige isn't there. Sly isn't there. And Walter isn't even there. Just me and Hap. It's weird.
"Where is everyone?" I don't really know why I asked that because obviously she won't know.
"Wow, very intelligent Doc. Like I know more than you. We came here together, remember." She's so adorable when she's sarcastic.
"Hold up." I feel my phone buzz
"Who is it?" I love how she cares who's calling me.
"It's Walter"
~Hey where are you. Nobody's here.~
~I got to Paige before they got there. Now we're staying somewhere else for a vacation so I can explain everything. It's a day off for you guys. I found it's more efficient if you guys take a day off, to enjoy like we're doing.~
~Okay great! Don't get too crazy love birds.~
I hang up before he can think of a comeback.
"Him and Paige are apparently on vacation, so it's a day off." I don't really go into detail because I know she's going to need to find a question to ask. That's just how Happy's brain works.
"So he found her? Are they a 'thing' now? Knowing Walter, probably not. But I wasn't expecting him to actually do that." Okay, that's more than just a question.
"Yes. No probably not. And I agree. I didn't either. I don't really remember what all happened that night when he left. I was still tipsy when he left, but I do remember calling him a jack ass and him saying he loved her then he just walked out. But that's about it. I didn't really have time to process, I was just drunk through it all." That was probably more explaining than needed.
"He actually said he loved her? That's the farthest he's ever gone. We've hit a new world record!"
"No, we've hit a new Walter record." We both start laughing our heads off.

"So you wanna go somewhere?" We need to do something. I don't want to just sit here all day.
"Sure where?" She never has any suggestions, does she.
"Um....I don't know. Six Flags?"
"Six Flags?.....hm.....I guess...."
"It was just a suggestion. We don't have to go to Six Flags, Hap. What do you want to do? I'm up for whatever you think."
She thinks about it for a minute. Then smiles. "Six Flags. Let's go, but when we get back we're catching up on Hawaii 5-O, okay?"
"Oh yea. I forgot about that. You sure you don't just want to go home and watch shows all day?" I'm just being generous.
"Doc, we always do things I want to do. We never do anything you want to do. So we're going."
"I just like making you happy. Doing things you want to do, makes you happy. Right?"
She steps in front of me to get my attention. Even though she always has my attention. "Toby, I'm not happy because we do things I like. I'm happy because I'm doing things with you. That's all I care about. I like spending time with you. You're what makes me happy. Toby, you're what makes me, me." She's still looking up at me. Like she's trying to study for some test.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, she kisses me. It's not just any kiss. Somethings wrong. She's upset, but I'm not sure what about.
We pull apart for air. "If we want to get there before noon, we should go." She informs me. Then grabs my keys from my back pocket. Then runs to my truck. I, of course, follow.

She pulls into a he complex parking lot, where 'our' flat is.
"What are we doing here?" I'm so confused.
"Babe, it's 85 degrees, and we'll be outside all day. I'm hot."
"I already know your hot." I love flirting with her. She just smiles and gets out of the car. I, again, follow.

Once inside I sit down on the couch and scroll through Facebook. I know it'll take her minute.

A few minutes later (I know you just said that in a SpongeBob voice):

I'm now in the kitchen drinking a beer, still on Facebook. (Sourry guys, but the beer was not on Facebook)
I hear foot steps but it's not the sound of Happy's usual combat boots. She walks in to kitchen and grabs the beer out of my hand. I set my phone down, and notice her hair is pulled back, she's wearing black converse, a Batman tshirt, and a pair of short black shorts. She got them at Hollister(I hope I spelled that right) a couple months ago when her and Paige first went shopping together. Happy hated it. And Paige kept saying Happy has too much of an emo style. They never went shopping together again.
"You okay?" She asks, still drinking my beer.
"Yea, just flashbacks"
"Of...." That's my Happy. Always wanting details.
"The night you came back from shopping with Paige. When you explained everything that happened." She was upset that night but didn't show it in front of Paige.
"Can we go?" She changes the subject.
"Ye-yea of course."
She drives again.
The traffic is horrible. It's weird. The traffic is never this bad at this time of day.
"What the hell!" She's getting frustrated. This is bad.
"Haps, do you want to pull over and let me drive, so you don't kill someone?"
"No. It's fine."
"Okay..."

After a insanely long drive, we finally made it to SixFlags.
"So, where to first?" I know she has to have a suggestion now.
"Gotham City!"

After riding almost every rid in the park we decide to go home. I can tell Happy's getting tired, and so am I. It's 9:00 and the park closes 3 hours.

Once we got to the truck, I get to drive home.
It's dark, Happy's asleep, and I'm insanely tired.

We finally made it back to the flat. Happy just woke up and I'm about to fall asleep still in the car.

"Doc.....Toby......." I can faintly hear Happy's voice, then it becomes normal.
"Oh my God!" I've never woken up in a car before, oh wait, I have. I look over to were Happy was sitting before I fell asleep, but she's not there. Then I notice my door is open and see a short beautiful woman with dark wet hair wearing a Harry Potter tshirt and pajama shorts, leaning against the side of the car, looking at me.
"You fell asleep an hour ago. Right after we pulled into the parking lot." She explains.
"Oh okay. Um.....okay..." I get out of the car and we walk inside.

"I-I'm gonna go take a shower."
"Okay." Happy says sitting on the couch.

Happy's POV:

Toby fell asleep in his truck once we got back. I had time to go inside, and take a shower. Now he's taking a shower and I'm all alone again.

15 minutes later:

Toby walks into the kitchen, grabs two beers and comes and sits down on the couch next to me.
"You okay Hap?"
"Yea, just tired. Hawaii 5-O? Or NCIS?" He wouldn't understand if I told him.
"NCIS."
He turns on NCIS and puts his arm around my waist. I rest my head on his shoulder.
This is nice. Just me and Toby. Watching one of the best TV shows ever.
