Hey guys, so remember 12 chapters ago when I breafly mentioned Happy and Paige's little miss-hap at the mall, well heres the story;

Happy and Toby woke up at the same time when "WHAT IF YOU AND I JUST PUT UP OUR MIDDLE FINGER TO THE SKY AND LET 'EM KNOW THAT WE'RE STILL ROCK N ROLL-" Happy answered her phone. That was Paige's ringtone on her phone. For some reason Rock N Roll didn't seem like a song that suited Paige's personality, so Happy knew it was perfect for her ringtone. All the contacts in her phone, the ringtones are the opposite of their personalities. Like She's Kinda Hot by 5sos is the ringtone for Walter. I Lived by One Republic for Sly. You're Gonna Miss This, for Cabe. And she's always changing Toby's but right now its Please Don't Leave Me by P!nk.
"What the hell Paige!"
"Get up, get up, get up! Because its gonna be a good, good, good day!" Paige singsonged
"Shut up! What are you calling me for?! We're trying to sleep, bitch!" Happy responded the nicest way she possibly could.
Toby rubbed Happy's back to calm her down.
"We? Are you at Tobys?" Paige questioned uninformed.
"No im on Mars with a swan! Where the hell do you think I am?!"
"Okay, well we made a deal. You said you'd go shopping with me if I didn't tell Walter tha-" Happy cutt her off.
"Okay okay. Ill meet you at the food court in 20"
And with that the conversation was at an end.
Happy left and went to the mall.

"Hey Happy!"
"Hi" she said dully
Paige made this trip as horrible as possible for Happy. Or at least that's what Happy thought.
Paige made them get their nails done. Happy got electric blue on her toenails and Paige made her do her fingernails as well, so she did black on that. Paige got red on both.
They went to Hollister and American Eagle. Happy had to drag Paige to Spencer's (i hope that's how you spell it. Yet its one of my favourite stores lol) and Hot Topic.
They were in Hot Topic when it happened.
Happy was looking at Anime stuff for Toby. Paige was looking at some dresses but couldn't find anything that suited her. Everything's so dark Paige thought to herself. After looking at Anime merchandise Happy remembered she and Toby were planning on going on a date Friday night and she wanted to get something to wear.
She saw a pair of black leather jeans which definitely suited her. A black shirt that was cuttup in the back and on the front it said RIOT (Paramore refferance) and she really liked it. They were planning on going to a movie then out to eat, but nothing fancy.
Paige always considered Happy a "friend" so Happy thought she could get Paige's opinion on the outfit.
"Hey Paige. Me and Toby are going on a date Friday. What do you think about this?" She showed her the outfit.
Paige had this sour look. "You really seem to have an emo style don't you. Its quite dark and depressing, don't you think? I just think if you would be surrounded by joyful things than you'd be less, angry and stubborn. But that's just your personality, and who am I to change someone."
A handfull of flashbacks hit Happy like a tsunami.
"What?! Look I might have had a horrible childhood and been depressed half my life! And maybe I still am, but that doesn't mean you can go around calling people things! I should have never asked for your fucking opinion in the first place! You don't even give a shit about anything but your jack ass boyfriend!" Happy didn't realise that she was yelling in a store.
"I care about more than you ever could! You are a bitch! I don't even know why Toby loves you anyway! You're just an angry freak!" Paige didn't know what she just said until she was done.
Happy dropped everything she was holding, and she punched Paige. Happy ran out of the store, out of the mall, and to her car.
First she changed Paige's ringtone. Misery Business works good for Paige.
The last thing she needed was to be alone. And she knew it too. Last time she was alone in a situation like this she almost killed herself. But she's already tried that far too many times. Her whole childhood and when she was a teenager, she threatened suicide. Until she met Toby.
That's what she needs.
Toby.

She ran to the door of their flat and tried to open it, but it was locked. She was still crying. She banged on the door. Bawling her eyes out, she leaned against it.

After a few minutes she grabbed her phone and called him.
"Hey Haps"
"T-Toby are...are you h-home?"
"Yea, whats up?"
"I-I need you to open the door."
"Okay, sorry I was taking a shower."
And she hung up.
Toby opened the door and she immediately ran into his arms, crying.
"Hey, hey, what happened?" He asks sweatly
"Paige. She's a bitch!"
"What? Since when? What happened Happy?" He asks
"She just said some horrible things! And what broke me is I have heard it all before. Word for word. The exact same thing, one of my foster mums told me." Happy explained, still crying into Toby's shirt.
Suddenly he phone rings, "ONCE A WHORE YOURE NOTHING MORE IM SORRY THAT'LL NEVER CHANGE. IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY LETS TAKE IT FROM THE TOP-" Happy answered the phone.
"Look im so sorry I said those things to you. I didn't mean it. I just got mad. I've never been called that before." Paige explains
"Apparently I get that way alot too." Happy adds. Tobys arms around her waist, she rests her head on his chest, being that he's much taller than her.
"Look Happy I said-"
"No. Just stop. I really don't feel like hearing your pathetic apology. Night Paige." She ended the conversation and the phone call.

"I would usually suggest hearing her out, but I don't think its a good time. You just need to cool off, and relax. I don't know what she said exactly, but if it made you cry, than it must have been bad. I do however suggest nice warm bath. It'll help cool you off." Toby gave her a sad look, and kissed her head.

Happy had a nice warm bubble bath like Toby suggested, and he sat in the bathroom on the floor leaning against the wall. They talked. She explained what all Paige had said, and you could see the sadness in Toby's expression.
"I never would have expected her to say those things, and especially not to you. She knows about your past. And how hard it was for you. Maybe she truly got frustrated because you said she doesn't give a shit about anything. That is her job. Now, Im not saying im on her side about this, it was horrible for her to say that, but I am saying that you will have to see her again tomorrow. You work with her Happy. She's your friend. Maybe she didn't mean to respond like that." Toby exclaimed.
"Maybe." Happy responded.
She looked at the water for a few minutes until asking;
"Can you hand me my phone."
Toby smiled and gave her, her phone off the counter.
It was 12.30 but she tried anyway.
"Hello?"
"Hey Paige, look, Im sorry I said those things to you, I just got mad, and what you said offended me personally. Sorry Paige." Happy oppolagized. (So unlike her.)
"No Happy, you don't need to be sorry, I was the one that told you to stop wearing dark clothes. I didn't mean to offend you. Please forgive me Happy."
"Its okay Paige." Happy forgave her.
"Are we 'friends' again?" Paige asked
"More of 'aquantances' but sure."
And with that the conversation was over.
"Im proud of you Happy." Toby said after she called Paige.
"Thanks" and she kissed him.
