Chapter 6: Suspicions

"Is it me? Or are April and Mikey not telling us something?" I told Casey, crossing my arms.

Casey looked at me with a raised brow. We were sitting on the dining table and I was feeding Chompy a pizza slice as he happily munched on it.

"Huh? Whadya mean there Raph?" He said.

"I mean yesterday, they looked like they've seen something. They were panting and sweating when they entered," I try to explain. "Annnd, Mikey's eyes look like they saw something. His eyes were gleaming in excitement. And I know Mikey, my little brother."

"Hmm, Mikey was in the canal, right? And April was in a burger place thingy. Mikey said he would be back in a few minutes and April's shift ends at 5:30. But they both came here at the same time," Casey said with two fingers holding his chin. He then snapped his fingers. "6:45."

Donnie then joined the conversation and sat down with his laptop. "This morning, after April's dad had to leave for the hospital, I noticed her whisper to Mikey and giving him looks when we arrived at her house. Then, Mikey suddenly told us he will just stroll around to look for a pizza place, and at the same time too, April said she left something at KO Burger."

Casey then said dramatically, "And they left at the same time!!" We all looked at him with an annoyed look. Chompy continued to finish the pizza till its crust. "Sorry." He rubbed the back of his head and chuckled.

"Uh, what are you guys trying to say here?" Leo asked, walking to the table. "They just came here and left at the same time. So?"

I groaned at Leo. Seriously dude? You're suppose to be a leader here.

I looked at him and explained, "Leo, remember you called Mikey right?"

"Yeah."

"And he said he will come back in a few minutes but he didn't. He came here like one hour later and with April. But since you were busy watching Space Heroes in your T-phone, you didn't notice them come."

"What!? No, I wasn't," He denied. I scowled at him.

"My question is, why did Mikey come very late when he said he would come back in a few minutes? And April's shift was already done and then she came an hour late too. Also she seemed to be with Mikey since they both came home at the same time," I said and stared at our leader.

Then he too started to frown and think. "Hmm, now that you mention it, I remembered I called April wondering where she is. I mean KO Burger is just a few feet from her house, it wouldn't take her long to walk home. Unless, she went somewhere. And she didn't answer my call. I called Mikey too, but no answer."

Casey then stood up from his seat. "You know what, how about I just go to KO Burger right now and check on them?" He shrugged and walked to the front door.

"Text us if you find something, okay Casey?" Leo tells him.

He nodded. "Sure," he said as he walked out of the front door.

Almost two hours has passed and no sign of Casey or Mikey or April. I've tried to call them but no answer. Except that stupid voicemail saying no signal.

I grumbled as I laid my head on the table. I wish I came with Casey to see what kind of mess he got caught up in. Chompy nudged my arm playfully and hugged my arm with his legs. He made a cute roar.

"Aww, Chompy."

"Uh, guys," Donnie suddenly said. We all looked at him. He sitting on the couch, staring at his laptop with a scared and concerned face.
