"I don't believe that it's gotta be this way. The worst is, the way in, in this womb I'm suffocating." - Skillet, Rebirthing

"Today's the day we find father."

At that saying, Donatello stood bolt upright and stretched. "Where? When?" He yawned.

"In a few hours." Raph stated. "We'll gather weapons, ammo, knives, etcetera, while Leo and Karai'll wait at the bandit-rubbed Liberty station." Leo and Karai nodded in understanding.

"Why?" Mikey and Casey decide to ask, pretty stupidly.

"Because they have the weapons we all need." Raphael growled and pointed a finger toward the stalls. "Sketch." When they all had ran, Raph turned to Leo and Karai. "When you get to the station, hide in a vent or something near the entrance. You'll see us." He said and ran off to catch up with the others.

"Didn't he know that we don't have any idea where the Liberty is?" Leo asked Karai, dumbfounded.

"We'll find it. Can't be that hard!"

"Yeah! Wherever there's less civilians."

"Let's go."

(TIME SKIPPY)

Leo and Karai were currently sitting in a vent, keeping away from flashlights.

"Where are they?" Karai whisper-whined, they had been waiting for three hours and they were getting cramped.

"Dunno." Leo muttered back, and continue to polish his 22 gun.

As if on cue, five silhouettes ran through the entrance and began to shoot at the many, many bandits. They all ducked for cover occasionally and changed positions. The people with the heavier weapons were closer than the others. Grenades were sometimes thrown.

Meanwhile, Leo and Karai were moving away from their gang, creeping the direction of the bandits. They got closer and closer until they hear Donatello shout.

"Where the heck are they!?" He shouted, ducking under cover and rising a little, shooting his gun.

"They abandoned us!" Raph yelled back. "Should've expected it from 'em!" And he fired his shotgun once, hitting a bandit in the torso.

"No! They wouldn't!" Mikey cried and he shot at a sniper, missing because he ducked under cover.

They both shared a smirk and Leo took the lead of going toward the nearest vent gate. They both sneakily, and silently, passed bandits behind their cover. When he got there, Karai on his tail, Leo opened the vent gate with his hands and dropped down, landing swiftly behind the bandits.

Karai followed suit, and they both nodded to each other. They quickly leaped to cover when a bandit glared behind his back, suspicious. The two sneaked up two ladders that held four snipers and took them out, silently with their knives.

Some bandits must have noticed the absence of the lasers, and turned around only to get shot in the head. They fell to the ground, lifeless.

Soon, all bandits' attention were on them, but the kept under cover while shooting at the couple so that the team on their opposite couldn't shoot them.

"Oops." Leo shrugged and Karai shrugged back. They then both smirked and continue to shoot the bandits, continuing to duck under cover to reload.

When Raph, Donnie, Mikey, April and Casey saw Karai and Leo jump the bandits from behind, they immediately relaxed and moved closer to the bandits by moving their cover.

"I told you they wouldn't abandon us!" Mikey sneered at Raph and Donnie.

"Yeah... Shouldn't have thought like that. Sorry." Donnie breathed sadly and managed to shoot a bandits head, he was a little out of cover. Two bandits looked at him and shot back, narrowly hitting April and Casey.

Leo and Karai, taking the advantage, shot at the two, killing them. Karai went to shoot again, but the gun gave a click. He tried again, click click click.

"Leo! I'm out!" Karai yelled, panicked, and threw a knife at a bandit but sadly missed.

"Then you can find father in that door over there!" Leo yelled back, pointing to a metal door on to his left.

Karai nodded and sneaked to the door, opening it slowly and quietly. It was very dark but she could make out a few objects. She tried the light, and when it turned on, it flickered and was weak.

Upon further inspection, Karai saw a certain mutant rat in a cage in the corner of the room. She gasped and ran over to him. He was unconscious.

"Father! Father!" She hissed but got no response. She huffed, grabbed a bobby pin from a pouch and a knife. She spent a small while picking the lock until he heard a very satisfying click.

She swung open the door and dragged her father out of it, laying him on the ground. He looked terrible. Splinter wore the basic brown farmer's outfit with a maroon shirt but it had many cuts in it and was stained with blood.

"Wake. Up! Wake. Up!" Karai repeated angrily while slapping his face until he finally gave a few harsh coughs before sitting up and staring at Karai.

"M-Mi-wa?" He gasped in awe and tested up, causing Karai to well up too. Karai gave a watery smile and hugged her long lost father.

"Y-yeah. Leo's h-here too." He whispered happily and helped him up.

Splinter wrapped an arm around Karai and she helped him walk. When she managed to help him out, she held a hand over her mouth or stop herself from gasping. For in front of her was a bandit, kneeling on a gasping Leonardo.

The bandit ha his hands clasped around Leo's throat, crushing his windpipe. Leo was kicking and struggling but to no avail, it seemed like he had been there for a while because his kicks were already weakening quickly.

Karai hastily and gently let Splinter down before running over to Leo and using her one of her hunting knifes to slit the bandit's throat, pulling him off.

Leo immediately gasped for golden air, which turned into a coughing fit. After a few minutes of gasping for oxygen, with Karai rubbing his back, he turned and saw his father leaning against the metal doorway.

"F-father..." Leo panted happily and stood up shakily. He already had dark bruises on his neck, which Karai was not happy about.

They both helped Splinter walk to the ladder then stopped when they hear no more gunshots. They then saw their gang at the bottom of the ladder.

"There you guys are!" Casey laughed. "Thought they got you!"

"Or abandoned us." Raph grumbled, earning a slap from April.

A loud chorus or 'father' and 'Splinter' happily rang through the station.

"How do we get him down?" Casey asked, dumbfounded.
