Chapter 8: Suprise

It's almost been a month that I stayed here in California. Cam and I have been hanging out for the most part of it.
It's usually Bri, Sammy,Cam, and I that's hanging out tho.

Unfortunately Cam had to go on tour. So he is going to be gone for a while. He told me he was going to keep in touch and so will I.

I got back from going to a family party and it was still daytime but almost sundown. I wanted to eat ice cream and watch Netflix but there was no more ice cream.

Sammy must of ate. He is like living here or something. I sighed and went to get the keys to my aunts car and told her I was getting ice cream. 

I went inside the little grocery store and got ice cream. Then I got some chips and then i saw popcorn. There was food at our house but these just looked really good.

"Wow, you need help there." A Girls voice  saids laughing.

I looked at her and started laughing too. She probably thinks I'm a totally fat ass. 

"No." I say laughing.

"Don't worry I love food too."  She saids. Good she knows how I feel.

"Haha food is very friendly to me." I say.

"Yeah, I feel you." She responds. She seems really cool.

"What's your name?" I ask.

"Melanie. You can call me Mel." Melanie saids.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Evie." I say holding a hand out to shake.

"Nice to meet you too." Melanie shakes my hand.

Melanie was really pretty. I was almost jealous of her. She had nice brown skin with brown eyes with brunette hair.

"I know I just met you and everything but want to come where I'm staying at watch Netflix and eat this with me?" I say nervously.

"Don't worry we aren't going to be alone." I say assuring her.

"Sure. Why not?" Melanie saids.

"Alright." I say.

*Melanie and I drove separately and when we got there I showed her way to the living room.

"Btw if you need any drinks or you are thirsty the kitchen is right there." I say pointing at the kitchen.

"Wow it's nice here." Melanie saids.

"Yeah it is." I say.

"Is this your house?" Melanie ask

"I don't want to be rude or anything." Melanie adds.

"No, it's fine. And no it's my aunts. I'm staying here for just to summer." I say.

"Cool. Sorry I just never knew someone a house like this." She saids making a joke out of it.

"Oh haha it's okay." I say.

* Melanie and I watched 80's movies then we wanted to go way far back so we watched more movies. After 2 movies we wanted to do sonething else. I told her we can go into the game room.

"Game room?" She asked.

"Yeah, where there like different  activities to do." I say .

"Sure." Melanie saids.

Melanie and I played a few games of Fuse ball and couple games of pool. She was good at both games.  

"Wow Melanie! You said you haven't played pool in a while...by awhile did you mean like a day?" I say jokingly.

"No, hahaha like 3 years." Melanie saids.

"Wow you are really good." I say. Then I heard my phone ring. Text from Jack.

Jack: babe what's wrong? You have been ignoring me lately... Please if something is wrong tell me.

I wanted to tell him the thoughts I had about him cheating but I don't want to get him mad. I didn't want to hurt him. I still love him.

Evie: yeah sorry Jack I have been busy. There is nothing wrong.

I sent the message and Melanie seeing my worried face.

"What's wrong?" Melanie ask.

"It's just boy troubles." I say.

"Do you want to talk about?" She saids insisting.

"I mean I don't know. It might be weird. Since you know we just met." I say.

"Don't worry." Melanie smiles.

"It feels like days...that I have with you but it's like only 5 hours which isn't a bad thing because You seem pretty cool." Melanie saids.

* I talked to Melanie until it was 1 am so it was like an hour or 2 I talked about my problems. She was a really a good listener and she gave really great advice .

"Thanks for listening to me Mel." I said.

"You are welcome." She saids.

"So...are you from here ?" I ask.

"No I'm from Seattle. I moved here like a year ago when I was 18." Melanie saids.

"Cool. I never been in Seattle. Is it nice there?" I ask.

"Yeah, I only moved out because I just felt like I had more people I can count on here and better chances of getting big." Melanie saids.

Melanie told me she was a becoming actress and was a model. No wonder why she so pretty.

Melanie talked more about what her life was like back in Seattle and I listened and talked with her.

*30 mins later
Jack called on skype.
I told Melanie it was my boyfriend calling. She went out of my camera sight of my laptop. I picked up.

"Hey Jack."
