Chapter 26

Cameron's P.O.V

I look up from my bedroom ceiling, thinking what might I be doing if Evie was here right now.
Missing her warm hugs and touch.

I had to do break up with her. I didn't want to get hurt anymore. Why was I so damn oblivious? I guess it happens to you when you love somebody as much as I love Evie.

Hearing the sad songs of drake and Frank Ocean in my room play, a cold hand was placed on my chest. She lifts her blonde hair out of her face.

Seeing Lori's face made me feel less lonely. Lori grabs the bedsheets and gets up, getting dressed in her clothes she came in. She smirks.

"I'm glad you called." Lori jumps into her boyfriend jeans. Then she walks to me giving me a peck on the lips. "I just want you to know I'm here for you."

Even though I knew she was lying I stilled believed her. I nodded.

Lori walked out of my apartment, shortly I got dressed. I quickly put on some jeans with a red flannel and put glasses on.

I headed out to eat with Aaron and my other friends. I couldn't see Taylor right now. Because of what happened to Evie and Taylor I didn't want to see him, I didn't tell anybody that I knew.

I headed out to a Thai grill close by. I ate my usual.

"Cameron, are you okay?" Aaron nudges me out of my trance.

I flinched. "Yeah..Yeah. I'm just tired that's all." A beam a fake smile.

Aaron doesn't believe me. "Come on man. Be real with me."

I sough. "My relationship that I once thought was going to last forever lasts for a second."

Aaron gave a bewildering look. "Did you and Evie break up?"

I looked away from Aaron making it seem more obvious that we did.

Aaron gives me sympathetic sigh. "I'm sorry Cameron. I wished the better for you too." I messed around with the left over food on my plate. "If it's meant to be I'm sure. Fate is going to bring you back together."

As soon I looked out of the window of people walking, I seen Evie there standing with her suitcase. The wind blowing her hair. Her brown eyes sparkling like they always do. I was astonished.

I didn't even think twice. I ran out of the grill and kissed her. Cupping her face. Kissing her passionately like the world has stopped.
