Chapter 23

It was time to meet Cameron's family. Although I have met his sister.  Sierra came to Cameron's apartment while we about to go out somewhere but she just dropped by and said hello. I never really got to talk to her.

I was more nervous for today than me having my first photoshoot. I just don't want to mess up or make a fool out of myself in front of Cameron's family. I was more cautious what I wanted to wear. I started out on a simple white dress but I felt like I would spill something. Then three more outfits.

Looking at my last outfit I picked out with a grey blouse with a pair of skinny light blue pants to finish off with my favorite shoes black ankle booties.

"Babe..you look fine.." Cameron kisses my cheek. I sigh of relief knowing that it seemed like the hundredth time Cameron said that because of everything I tried on but I knew he meant it.

Making our way to Cameron's mom house driveway getting dropped off by an uber I could feel my heart beating fast of being nervous. Cameron's hand crept on mine and held it. We both walked in and Cameron greeted his mom.

I smiled politely as they  hug.

"Mom..this Evie. My girlfriend."
Cameron greets me to his mom.
I put my hand out for a shake but she gave me a hug instead. Slightly surprised but happy.

"Cameron, you never said she was so beautiful!" I chuckled with her flattering compliment.

"Thank you Mrs.Dallas." I say nodding my head.

"What? Mrs.Dallas? Don't be silly call me Gina." Gina insisted.

"Oh okay. Gina." I smile at Cameron and he sends me a smile back. So far so good.

"Well..Sierra is in the kitchen
helping me." Cameron approached Sierra and they both headed outside.  I was talking to Gina of how I could help. Shortly Cameron gestured me to go outside with Sierra. I put down what I was doing and told Gina I was going to be outside.

"Evie..you know Sierra..Sierra you know Evie. Now make girl talk." Cameron gets up at off his chair and kisses my cheek going inside.

"How do you deal with him?" Sierra asks.

"I honestly don't know."

"We never actually got to talk the first time  I seen you."

"Yeah..to be honest I was kinda nervous coming here." 

"Oh why?" It took me a few seconds to get the words out of my mouth.

"I just don't want to make a fool of myself."

"Don't worry..the only person that's going to make of fool of themselves is Cameron." Sierra and I laugh on true that is.

After Dinner all of us decided to just sit and talk for a while.

"So Evie..how did you and Cam meet?" Sierra asks leaning in. I smile shyly.

"Well it might seem cheesy but..someone pushed me and my phone fell down and slid, but luckily Cameron picks it up. then I seen a handsome boy."

Cameron's P.O.V
Ever since that day I never forgot her face. I held her hand under the table while I smiled at her. I know everybody knew we were together but, I just grabbed her hand and loved her reaction when I did. Damn she's so beautiful. That smile, her laughter. I looked at her while she was enjoying her self.

Then she looks at me assuring me she is okay. I wish she wasn't leaving.

"So who is ready for a game of Uno?" My mom saids getting up to take the plates.

"I am!" I say excitingly.

"Watch out for Cameron Evie..he usually wins." Sierra warns me.

"Oh I won't be to sure about that." Evie replies back. I raised my eyebrows.

"Oh..you're on!" I say.

Evie's P.O.V

The game has started and so far Cam and I have the least cards. I seen him try to cheat a couple of times but I made sure that didn't happen.

"Who wants dessert?" Gina saids getting up.

"What is it?" Cameron ask lifting his head.

"Strawberry shortcake." Gina saids.

"Can I have a piece?" I say right way as I heard that.

"Oh sure."

Gina gives me the shortcake. I took a bite. The taste of heaven.
Cameron gets up and gets the spray whip cream and puts some in his mouth sitting next to me.

"Can I have some?" I ask.

"Sure." Cameron was about to give it to me until he put some in face.

"Cameron!" I say as he was already backing up. I stand up and try to get the whip cream. Then I grabbed his wrist and try to take it. I was laughing really hard so was he. Then I put some on his hair laughing. Then I stopped thinking of Taylor.

"What's wrong babe?" Cameron saids as his smile slowly fades with concern.

"Oh nothing. I just got some whip cream up my nose that's all."I say obviously lying.

I went to the bathroom to watch the whip cream off. Then I seen Cameron come in.

"Hey, you okay?" I look up at Cameron as he rubs my arm. He lifts my chin up and kisses my lips gently. "Babe..you don't have to worry my family likes you."

"Yeah..I know..it's just..oh never mind." I say turning around pacing.

"What..No you need to tell me." Cameron grabs my arm to make me stop.

I slowly turn around and the words coming would change things between Cam and I.
