(May's POV)

I looked at her with curiousity. She looked down and reached into her pocket and pulled out a paper. She looked around the hall searching for something. I extended a hand towards the paper so I could help. She timidly handed me the paper. I saw her classes 1st period: US History Honors, 2nd period:Calculus Honors, 3rd period: Chemistry Honors, 4th period: English Honors. Seeing her classes I knew she was a senior, smart and we had 2nd and 4th together. I smiled and handed her back the paper. "Well Skylar, seems like we have 2 classes together." I winked at her. She blushed.. Wait.. She blushed? Is she bi or lez?.. no.. She's way to pretty for that.. Plus she could have any guy here. 

(Skylar's POV)

May winked at me and I could feel my cheeks begin to flush. I tried to stop it, but I couldn't to save my life. I looked away quickly hoping she didn't see. "seems like we have 2 classes together." May said in a quiet voice. I could tell she was shy. Probably just as shy as me. She started walking towards the door to go outside. I followed behind her and she held the door open. We walked into another building not so far where all the doors were shut because classes were going on. She stopped at door 213.

(May's POV)

I hesitated to open the door. I wanted to ask Skylar if she needed a ride after school. I wanted to get to know her better, but I was to shy. I opened the classroom door and walked in. I saw Chey and Leigh in the back of the classroom. Everyone looked up. I walked to the front of the classroom to explain to Mr.Lambe, our english teacher. "Don't worry May. I heard what happened. Take a sit." I walked to the empty table in front of my friends. They were giving me a "WTF happened" look. I sat down and saw Skylar get done talking to the teacher. She scanned the room and saw me. I nodded for her to take the seat next to me. Leigh and Chey both kicked my chair. I knew what they were thinking. I flicked them off but hid my hand behind the chair so Skylar wouldn't see. I heard my two best friends start to giggle.

(Skylar's POV)

I sat down beside May. I heard the two girls behind me giggling. "Don't worry, my friends are idiots." I heard the two girls say "HEY!" at the same time. May was surpressing a laugh. I couldn't help but smile at her. She smiled back at me and looked down at her book. She read through the chapters that were on the board. I realized that I didn't have one because I was suppose to pick them up from the office during 1st period. "Umm.. May.. I don't have a book..." She read the last sentence below her breath and slid the book to me. I read the chapters within 30 mins. I could feel May's eyes on me the whole time though and my cheeks began to flush again. I scanned the room hoping my cheeks would stop burning up each time she looked my direction.

(May's POV)

I kept staring at her. She read through the chapters as fast I did. I saw her cheeks getting red. I wonder if that's because of me? Or maybe it was just simply warm in the room. I hesitated to ask her the same question from earlier. I had to though or I would be kicking myself for not doing it. "Skylar.." I stuttered. She looked up at me with those vibrant emerald eyes "yeah?" I had almost lost my train of thought "Umm.. I was wondering.. If you wanted a ride after school.. I mean I don't know if you have someone picking you up or if you ride the bus.." I was blabbering like an ass. Nice May, really nice. "Yeah I would love a ride. I live kinda far though. I wouldn't want you to make such a long drive." I smiled at Skylar as she was blabbering just as much as me. " No worries, my friends and I all live about 20-30 mins away. I live out in the country side."

(Skylar's POV)

I was almost finished with my chapters when May started to ask me something. She asked if I wasnted a ride and I felt butterflies. Stop it Skylar. You can't feel that way. Plus she was just being friendly. I told her I would love one. After I finished my chapters I looked at the clock. I still had 30 mins to do something. May wasn't paying attention. The teacher got up from his desk and wrote something on the board. [Board: Chapters 15-20 tonight. 4 page paper due on summary of chapters in 2 days]. The class groaned and went back to reading the rest of their chapters. May still wasn't paying attention. I ripped up a piece of paper and wrote my number down. I slipped it in tonight's chapters and closed the book.

(May's POV) I was staring blankly outside. I saw in the reflection Skylar tearing off a piece of paper and writing something down. She slipped it in my book and closed it. I waited for class to be over. The bell had rang to end the day. I packed up my stuff and looked at Skylar and saw that she was about to say something. "I'll be right back May, I have to get some books from the office and figure out where my locker is." She looked kinda embarressed for telling me. "Take you're time. I'm not in a rush." She left the classroom. I heard someone clear there throat. My heart stopped because I knew my friends were right behind me. Chey began to talk 1st. "Well.. umm.. do you want to explain why you disappared? or do we have to torture it out of you?" igiggled at her and started to explain. Leigh looked surprised and started talking "SO.. bitch knocks you out and now you want her.. don't you?" I smiled at Leigh then frownded quickly "Don't call her that. She's really nice." Leigh had an annoying smirk on her face that I wanted to slap off. "So you do! You're already defending her!" My cheeks turned a bright red. "Well May, have you made a move?" Chey asked. "I asked if she needed a ride today. Does that count?" Both my friends laughed at me. I flicked them off. Which just made them laugh harder. "Sorry May, but it is a start at least." Leigh reassured me.
